Scenic Production Manager

Our client is seeking an experienced Scenic Production Manager to lead a growing production division supporting custom scenic, theatrical, architectural, and event projects throughout North America. This is a highly visible leadership role responsible for overseeing project management, fabrication, installation, vendor partnerships, and operational excellence.

What You'll Do

• Lead the daily operations of a national production services team.
  
• Manage Project Managers, Fabrication, and Installation teams from project kickoff through completion.
  
• Drive continuous improvements in production processes, communication, scheduling, and operational efficiency.
  
• Oversee budgets, production schedules, resource planning, and project execution.
  
• Build and manage relationships with fabricators, installers, subcontractors, and suppliers across North America.
  
• Support estimating, project planning, material sourcing, and production strategy.
  
• Mentor project managers while helping solve technical and operational challenges.
  
• Expand fabrication and installation capabilities through process improvements and strategic partnerships.
  
• Travel periodically to project sites and company locations throughout North America.
  

What We're Looking For

• 8+ years leading fabrication, scenic construction, custom manufacturing, or production operations.
  
• Experience managing complex custom projects involving multiple departments and vendors.
  
• Strong background in scenic fabrication, theatrical construction, exhibit fabrication, custom millwork, themed entertainment, or specialty construction.
  
• Ability to read fabrication drawings, shop drawings, and construction documents.
  
• Proven leadership experience managing production teams and improving operational performance.
  
• Excellent communication, organization, and problem-solving skills.
  
• Willingness to travel as projects require.
