OVERVIEW

 

This positionis afull-timepositionbasedout ofDenver,COwithflexibility toworkremotely.Thecandidatemusthave extensiveexperienceunderwritingnon-agency mortgages, HELOCs, and non-qualifiedmortgagesandspecifically bankstatement loans. This individualwillberesponsibleformanagingascenariodesktosupporteligibilityquestions andexceptionrequestsfrom anetworkofloans originators.Inaddition,responsibilities will includepreparingourbankstatement incomecalculations that sellerscanusetoconfidentlyunderwriteandoriginatealoanthatwillbesoldto Bayview.This positionwillwork closelywiththenon-agency capital markets andcredit policyteamstoensurethat loans arepurchasedinaccordancewith Bayview’soriginationandpurchasepoliciesandwiththeunderwritingteamtoensureconsistency amongstcredit decisions.

• Approveexceptions as authori
• Calculateeligibleincomefromborrowerprovidedbankstatemen
• Fosterstrongrelationships withsellers'underwritingteam
• Workwith sellerstocleardue diligenceconditions andresolvefindin
• Ensureloandocuments areaccurate,complete,andsufficienttoclearallconditions forfinalloanapprova
• Review andevaluateloanfilesforriskissues andpotentialfraudand/ormisrepresentation.
• Analyzeappraisals forvaluationaccur
• Any otherassigneddutiesfrommanagement as necessary

 

QUALIFICATIONS

• Minimumof6-10years'experienceinanunderwritingrol
• Extensiveexperienceunderwritingnon-agency loan
• KnowledgeofQM/ATR requiremen
• Mustalsohavethefollowingdemonstratedknowledge,skills,andabilities:
• ExtensiveknowledgeofMortgageBankingoriginationpractices,procedures,regulations,andlaw
• Strongunderstandingoftheoperationalresponsibilities involvedinthepurchaseandsale/securitizationofwholeloan assets as it pertains to credit quality.
• Comfortablenegotiatingcomplexissues andresolvingproblem
• WorkingknowledgeofWORD,EXCEL,POWERPOINTandACCESS,
• Effectiveverbalandwrittencommunications,includingactivelistening,andpresentingfindingsandrecommendation
• Ability toestablishandmaintainworkingrelationships withco-workers,staff,andexternal contacts,and toworkeffectively in a professional team environment

LOCATION and COMPENSATION:

• This role is 100% remote
• Base compensation is expected to be $90,000 – $115,000 with the opportunity for bonus compensation
