SCDN Lab Coordinator

Lab Coordinator Scope The Social Cognitive Developmental Neuroscience (SCDN) Lab at UC Riverside uses electrophysiology (EEG) and behavioral measures to better understand the brain and behavioral basis of autism spectrum disorder (ASD). We have multiple active research projects for children and adolescents between the ages of 6 months and 17 years. Under the direct supervision of the PI of the SCDN Lab, the Lab Coordinator in the School of Education (SOE) will perform duties that include but are not limited to, recruitment and retention efforts for SCDN Lab research projects, maintaining participant files, data entry and organization, scheduling study sessions, completing eligibility phone calls, answering emails, and training undergraduate volunteers in these tasks. This is a limited 50% time position with the possibility of becoming career contingent upon funding. The full salary range for the Blank Assistant 3 is $29.35 - $42.06 per hour. However, the expected pay scale for this position is up to $30.73 per hour. We base salary offers on a variety of considerations, such as education, licensure and certifications, experience, and other business and organizational needs. Applicants must have current work authorization when accepting a UCR staff position. Currently, we are unable to sponsor or take over sponsorship of an employment Visa for staff. Federal, state, or local government directives may impose additional requirements.\n \nAdministrative Support: Works closely with Social Cognitive Developmental Neuroscience (SCDN) Lab PI on activities coordinating administrative services. Assists with recruitment/retention efforts for participants in all aspects of SCDN Lab research studies, including but not limited to, answering phones, conducting phone screenings to assess eligibility, answering routine questions about research studies, scheduling study visits, entering individual subject data, maintaining a call log to assist with organization, assist with managing IRB applications/renewals/amendments, and training/overseeing undergraduate volunteers in these tasks. The coordinator will also be responsible for managing and maintaining files and records for SCDN lab research.Project Participation Coordination: Produces/organizes the materials needed for study visits (e.g. printing paper measures, organizing subject folders, keeping filing systems organized). Maintains study calendar and schedules graduate and/or undergraduates to specific study sessions as per their availability. Send families directions to the lab as part of visit coordination, and keep track of subject payment(s). Assists with development and implementation of SCDN Lab events: Assists the PI in identifying and attending relevant local events to assist with study recruitment. Manages event attendance logistics including but not limited to, registration at events, identifying what materials are needed to attend events (e.g. flyers), reserving space, catering, etc. Supports the administrative, financial, and logistical components of SCDN Lab research program.\n \nExperience working with a diverse population, and sensitivity to culture, race, ethnicity, gender identity, sexual orientation and socio-economic status.Ability to maintain cooperative relationships with community contacts.Ability to research and analyze information to formulate/implement solutions for improvement.Demonstrated skill in accurate record keeping with strict attention to detail. Organizing tasks, documents and materials with efficiency and accuracy.Ability to maintain confidentiality in managing participant information.Demonstrated skill in communicating effectively and professionally using tact and diplomacy.
