We are seeking a Saw Operator to work in our Monroe, NC facility. In this position you are responsible for cutting orders to meet customer expectations using a variety of saws including abrasive saws, MFL saws, and band saws. A successful candidate will demonstrate an attention to detail and the ability to work independently.
This is a night shift position from 6:00 pm to 6:00 am, working on a rotating 2-2-3 schedule. You will work 2 days, have 2 days off, work 3 days; then 2 days off, work 2 days, then have 3 days off. Training will be 6:00 am to 6:00 pm on the same rotating 2-2-3 schedule.
Additional Responsibilities
- Cutting samples of metal
- Operate as necessary to cut off prescribed sections and properly dispose
- Set up machines, change blades, clean machine, and perform simple machine maintenance as needed
- Read and interpret milling instructions "MIs"
- Use tape measure and other measuring devices
- Stamping materials with proper ID and put slings around the finished products
- Maintain logs and records
