Saw Operator
We are currently seeking a motivated and reliable Saw Operator to join our team in Leetonia, Ohio. You'll be responsible for setting saw cut lengths, inspecting metal, and maintaining a clean work area. Hours:
3rd Shift, 8:00 PM 6:00 AM
Work on-site, with occasional weekends and overtime as needed
Pay:
$18.00 per hour
Key Responsibilities:
Set saw cut lengths
Lift extrusions and position them on the table for cutting
Perform all required quality checks
Visually inspect metal to ensure it meets in-house standards
Pack metal according to customer requirements
Inspect cut lengths for burrs, scratches, chips, gouges, dents, or bubbles
Blow off saw chips between each row
Maintain a neat and organized work area
Assist in packing when fabrication is not scheduled
Minimum Requirements:
High school diploma or GED
Ability to read and interpret safety rules, instructions, and manuals
Basic math skills (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division)
Ability to use measuring devices like tape measures or rulers
Ability to stand, walk, reach, climb, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl as needed
Must be able to frequently lift/move up to 50 pounds
Nice to Have Skills:
Experience operating saws or similar equipment
Familiarity with metal fabrication processes
Preferred Education and Experience:
Previous experience in manufacturing or a manufacturing environment (preferred but not required)
Other Requirements:
Ability to work on-site in a manufacturing setting
Physical ability to lift up to 50 pounds repeatedly
Maintain safety standards and procedures at all times
