We are seeking a reliable Saw Operator to join our fabrication team. The ideal candidate has strong measurement skills and is comfortable operating overhead cranes in a physically demanding shop environment.
Responsibilities
- Set up and operate saw equipment to cut metal materials to specification
- Accurately measure materials using a tape measure to meet project tolerances
- Safely operate overhead cranes to move materials and finished products
- Lift and move materials up to 50 lbs. as needed
- Inspect cut materials for accuracy, quality, and adherence to specifications
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area in accordance with shop safety standards
Qualifications
- Proficient in using a tape measure
- Certified or experienced in operating overhead cranes (or willing to be trained/certified)
- Experience running a metal saw preferred
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship
Physical Requirements
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Ability to stand, bend, and work in a shop environment for extended periods
- Comfortable operating heavy machinery
