    Job Description:
    The Saw Machine Operator is responsible for setting up and operating saw and other metal fabrication equipment to cut, shear, punch, drill, tap, deburr, time-save, bend, roll, or straighten metal to customer specifications. This position will read travelers and blueprints to determine materials, cutting locations, dimensions, and tolerances, then set up and operate machinery accordingly. The operator will inspect parts throughout the production run, measure completed components using calipers, micrometers, gauges, tape measures, templates, or rulers, and ensure parts are free from defects, scratches, sharp edges, or other issues noted on travelers or prints. Training will be provided on the saw machine, and the employee may eventually obtain crane and forklift licenses or certifications.
