Position Overview – Senior SAP Security Analyst


Seeking an experienced SAP Security & Access Management professional with 7+ years of controls, compliance, and SAP access governance experience. This individual will serve as the primary owner of SAP security, user access, role design, and controls across a global SAP environment. The role focuses heavily on SOX compliance, Segregation of Duties (SoD), audit readiness, access reviews, and security governance while partnering with business and IT teams to ensure secure and compliant operations.


Key Responsibilities – Senior SAP Security Analyst



  • Own SAP security, user access management, and role governance across SAP S/4HANA and related applications.

  • Lead and maintain SOX controls, ITGC compliance, Segregation of Duties (SoD), and periodic access reviews.

  • Manage user provisioning, access requests, role design, and privileged access processes.

  • Drive implementation and ongoing administration of Fastpath (Delinea) or similar SAP controls and audit automation tools.

  • Partner with internal audit, external auditors, and business stakeholders to support compliance initiatives and remediation activities.

  • Identify and improve security control processes, access governance procedures, and risk management practices.

  • Support SAP projects, upgrades, acquisitions, and new entity integrations from a security and controls perspective.

  • Provide guidance to internal teams, AMS providers, and consultants on SAP security standards and best practices.


Required Qualifications – Senior SAP Security Analyst



  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Business, or related field.

  • 7+ years of SAP Security, Access Management, and IT Controls experience.

  • Strong experience supporting SOX, ITGC, Segregation of Duties (SoD), access certifications, and audit compliance programs.

  • Hands-on experience with SAP S/4HANA security and role-based access controls (RBAC).



  • Strong understanding of SAP Fiori security and access controls, ensuring role design, user provisioning, and authorization frameworks align with SOX, ITGC, and Segregation of Duties (SoD) requirements.



  • Experience managing user provisioning, role design, and access governance within complex SAP environments.

  • Experience with Fastpath (Delinea) or comparable SAP GRC/access governance solutions.

  • Proven track record supporting internal and external audits and driving remediation efforts.

  • Strong stakeholder management, problem-solving, and communication skills.


Preferred Qualifications – Senior SAP Security Analyst



  • SAP Security certification, CISA, CISSP, or similar certification.

  • Experience with SAP Ariba, SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC), DataSphere, or other SAP cloud solutions.

  • Experience supporting multiple SAP implementations, upgrades, or integrations.

  • Understanding of SAP functional modules including Finance, Procure-to-Pay, and Order-to-Cash processes.
