SAP SD Consultant (SAP S/4HANA)
Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced SAP SD Consultant to support SAP S/4HANA Sales and Distribution capabilities across order management, pricing, billing, logistics execution, integrations, testing, and production support. This individual will work closely with business stakeholders, product teams, architects, developers, testers, and integration partners to deliver reliable, scalable, and clean-core SAP solutions.
Key Responsibilities
Analyze business requirements and translate them into SAP SD functional designs, configurations, test scenarios, and implementation plans.
Configure and support SAP SD processes, including:
Order creation, changes, and cancellations
Pricing and billing
Delivery processing and returns
Third-party order processing
Intercompany sales
Consignment processing
Output determination
Customer and material master data management
Support SAP S/4HANA Order-to-Cash (O2C) processes and integration with adjacent modules, including MM, FI/CO, EWM/LE, and Service Parts Planning solutions.
Provide expertise in Advanced Available-to-Promise (aATP) functionality.
Prepare and review functional specifications for enhancements, interfaces, reports, forms, APIs, and workflow requirements.
Collaborate with ABAP, SAP BTP, CPI/API, EDI/IDoc, Fiori, and integration teams to design and validate end-to-end solutions.
Participate in fit-to-standard workshops, process design discussions, impact assessments, and gap analyses for SAP S/4HANA implementations and enhancements.
Support testing activities, including:
Unit Testing
System Integration Testing (SIT)
Regression Testing
User Acceptance Testing (UAT)
Defect management and test evidence documentation
Provide production support by troubleshooting incidents, performing root-cause analysis, recommending solutions, and ensuring timely issue resolution.
Create and maintain documentation, including:
Business process documentation
Configuration rationale
Functional specifications
Training materials
Support guides
Cutover documentation
Participate in Agile ceremonies, including backlog refinement, sprint planning, daily stand-ups, sprint reviews, and retrospectives using tools such as Jira.
Required Skills
Required Experience
12+ years of hands-on SAP SD functional consulting experience, including SAP S/4HANA implementation, enhancement, rollout, and support projects.
Strong expertise in:
Order-to-Cash processes
Pricing procedures
Billing and invoicing
Delivery processing
Customer and material master data
Output determination
Copy controls
Account determination
SAP SD integration touchpoints
Experience designing and supporting order management solutions involving:
APIs
Customer portals
External pricing engines
Tax engines
EDI/IDoc processing
Legacy system integrations
Ability to facilitate requirements workshops, document current and future-state processes, perform gap analyses, and recommend standard SAP or clean-core solutions.
Experience developing functional specifications and partnering with technical teams on:
RICEF objects
Enhancements
Interfaces
Reports
Forms
Fiori applications
Working knowledge of:
SAP S/4HANA simplification items
SAP Fiori UX
SAP Activate methodology
SAP BTP
SAP CPI
APIs
IDocs
RFCs
Proxies
Strong analytical, troubleshooting, communication, stakeholder management, and documentation skills.
Ability to work effectively in a global, multicultural, and multi-vendor environment.
Preferred Qualifications
Bachelors degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business Administration, Supply Chain, Finance, or a related field.
SAP S/4HANA Sales Certification or relevant SAP SD certification.
Experience within automotive, manufacturing, service parts, dealer order management, aftersales, logistics, or supply chain environments.
