Title: SAP S/4HANA Finance Release Manager
Location:Plano, Texas
Pay Rate: $50.00-55.00/hr on W2/C2C (All Inclusive)
Duration: 06+ Months with Possible Extension.
We are seeking an experienced SAP S/4HANA Finance Release Manager to lead end-to-end release planning, deployment, transport governance, and production rollout activities across SAP Finance landscapes. The ideal candidate will possess deep expertise in SAP S/4HANA Finance (FI/CO) processes combined with strong release governance, change management, transport management, and stakeholder coordination experience.
This role is responsible for ensuring predictable, compliant, and low-risk deployments while supporting critical financial operations including month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closures.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage end-to-end release lifecycle activities including planning, scheduling, deployment, cutover, and post-production support.
- Govern SAP transport migration across Development, QA, UAT, Pre-Production, and Production environments.
- Coordinate release execution across SAP Finance, Basis, Security, Integration, Middleware, and Infrastructure teams.
- Validate release readiness, rollback plans, deployment checklists, and production sign-offs.
- Facilitate Change Advisory Board (CAB) reviews and release governance meetings.
- Manage release calendars and deployment schedules aligned with business priorities.
- Partner with Finance stakeholders to deploy enhancements, regulatory changes, defect fixes, and compliance initiatives.
- Support User Acceptance Testing (UAT), defect triage, and release certification activities.
- Monitor release-related incidents and drive rapid issue resolution post-deployment.
- Ensure adherence to SOX, audit, and change management policies.
- Identify release risks and implement mitigation strategies to minimize business disruption.
- Provide deployment support during month-end, quarter-end, and year-end financial close activities.

- 8+ years of SAP experience.
- 3+ years managing SAP releases or deployments in enterprise environments.
- Strong understanding of SAP S/4HANA Finance architecture and business processes.
- Hands-on experience managing SAP transports and deployment activities.
- Experience coordinating cross-functional teams across multiple workstreams.
- Strong troubleshooting, incident management, and production support capabilities.
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
- Experience supporting audit, compliance, and SOX-controlled environments.
Preferred Qualifications
- SAP S/4HANA Finance Certification.
- SAP Solution Manager / ChaRM expertise.
- Experience with SAP Central Finance.
- Knowledge of deployment automation and test automation tools.
- Agile, Scrum, and DevOps experience.
- Exposure to large ERP transformation or S/4HANA migration programs.
