Job Summary: SAP RISE Project Manager
[About the Role]
Join a dynamic team as an SAP RISE Project Manager, leading strategic SAP transformation projects for a leading organization in Salisbury, NC. This contract opportunity is ideal for highly experienced SAP professionals passionate about driving cloud migrations, shaping business processes, and collaborating with cross-functional stakeholders. You'll play a pivotal role in migrating SAP ECC environments to SAP S/4HANA using the SAP RISE framework, with significant influence on project direction and enterprise technology modernization.
[Responsibilities]
- Lead end-to-end SAP S/4HANA transformation and migration projects through the SAP RISE program.
- Develop detailed project plans, manage budgets over $5M, allocate resources, and proactively mitigate risks.
- Oversee multiple workstreams, including Finance, Supply Chain, Procurement, Manufacturing, Sales, and Technical teams.
- Coordinate and execute ECC to S/4HANA migration strategies, including readiness assessments, custom code remediation, and process redesign.
- Manage data migration lifecycle: planning, testing, validation, and reconciliation.
- Ensure adherence to SAP Activate methodology and best practices throughout all project phases.
- Act as the primary liaison among business stakeholders, SAP partners, system integrators, and technical teams.
- Drive project governance, facilitate executive-level reporting, and steer committee meetings.
- Lead organizational change management initiatives, user training, and adoption strategies.
- Oversee rigorous testing cycles (SIT, UAT, regression, performance) and ensure smooth go-live and hypercare support.
- Monitor KPIs, resource utilization, and maintain compliance with PMO and audit requirements.
[Required Skills and Experience]
- 8+ years of SAP project management experience in enterprise environments.
- 5+ years leading SAP ECC to SAP S/4HANA transformations.
- Demonstrated success with at least one SAP RISE migration or implementation.
- Strong knowledge of SAP ECC, SAP S/4HANA, SAP RISE, SAP Cloud solutions, data migration methodologies, and SAP integration technologies.
- Expertise in SAP Activate methodology.
- Experience managing geographically distributed project teams.
- Proven stakeholder management and executive communication skills.
- Bachelor's degree in IT, Computer Science, Business Administration, or related field.
[Preferred Skills]
- SAP Activate Project Manager Certification.
- PMP (Project Management Professional) Certification.
- Experience with public cloud platforms such as Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud.
