SAP PP and EH&S Consultant

Location: Richmond, VA – Hybrid

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced SAP PP & EH&S Functional Consultant to support implementation, rollout, enhancement, and production support initiatives. The consultant will work with business stakeholders to design, configure, and optimize manufacturing, production planning, and Environment, Health & Safety processes within SAP.

The ideal candidate will have strong functional expertise in SAP Production Planning (PP) and SAP EH&S, along with knowledge of integration across the SAP landscape.

SAP PP – Production Planning

• Gather and analyze business requirements related to manufacturing and production processes.

• Configure and support:

  • Material Master and MRP Views

  • Bills of Material (BOM)

  • Work Centers

  • Routings

  • Production Versions

  • Production Orders

  • Process Orders

  • Demand Management

  • Capacity Planning

  • Master Production Scheduling (MPS)

  • Material Requirements Planning (MRP)

  • Repetitive Manufacturing

• Support production execution and shop floor processes.

• Configure production scheduling and capacity leveling.

• Monitor and improve production planning efficiency and inventory optimization.

• Support manufacturing and supply chain business process improvements.

• Analyze production planning requirements and recommend appropriate SAP solutions.

SAP EH&S – Environment, Health & Safety

Configure and support SAP EH&S processes, including:

• Product Safety

• Dangerous Goods Management

• Industrial Hygiene & Safety

• Occupational Health

• Incident Management

• Waste Management

Key Responsibilities

• Participate in SAP implementation, rollout, enhancement, and production support activities.

• Work closely with business stakeholders to understand requirements and translate them into SAP solutions.

• Conduct business process analysis and identify opportunities for process improvement.

• Configure and maintain SAP PP and EH&S functionality.

• Support integration between SAP PP, EH&S, and other relevant SAP modules.

• Participate in testing, issue resolution, deployment, and post-go-live support.

• Provide functional documentation and knowledge transfer to business and project teams.

• Troubleshoot functional issues and provide root-cause analysis.

• Collaborate with technical and cross-functional teams to ensure successful solution delivery.

Required Skills

• Strong functional experience with SAP PP (Production Planning).

• Strong functional experience with SAP EH&S.

• Hands-on experience with SAP PP configuration.

• Strong understanding of MRP, MPS, Demand Management, Capacity Planning, Production Orders, Process Orders, BOMs, Work Centers, and Routings.

• Experience with Repetitive Manufacturing and production execution processes.

• Experience configuring and supporting SAP EH&S processes.

• Knowledge of Product Safety, Dangerous Goods, Industrial Hygiene & Safety, Occupational Health, Incident Management, and Waste Management.

• Strong understanding of manufacturing and supply chain business processes.

• Experience with SAP module integration and cross-functional processes.

• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.

• Excellent communication and stakeholder-management skills.
