My name is Shannon, and I am a Recruiter with The Fountain Group.  We are a national staffing firm and are currently seeking a ­­­­­­­­Procurement & Inventory Management Specialist for a prominent client of ours.  This position is located in ­­Remote. Details for the position are as follows:

Job Description:

Duration: 5 months

Pay: $35.00/hr.

We are seeking an experienced SAP Planning, Procurement & Inventory Management Specialist to support supply chain planning, procurement operations, inventory management, and SAP master data processes. This role will partner closely with Procurement, Manufacturing, Finance, Quality, and external suppliers to ensure material availability, optimize supply chain processes, and maintain accurate SAP data.

The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on experience with SAP S/4HANA, including Material Requirements Planning (MRP), Procurement, Inventory Management, and Master Data Governance, along with experience managing vendor relationships, purchase orders, purchase requisitions, and invoice reconciliation.

Industry experience is required, preferably within pharmaceuticals, biotechnology, life sciences, healthcare, manufacturing, or other regulated industries.

Key Responsibilities

  • Create, monitor, and manage inbound deliveries in SAP S/4HANA to support timely material receipt and inventory visibility.
  • Perform invoice matching and resolve discrepancies between purchase orders, goods receipts, and vendor invoices.
  • Manage Material Requirements Planning (MRP) processes, including planning strategies and master data maintenance for ND (No Planning) and PD (MRP Planned) materials.
  • Review and process purchase requisitions (PRs), ensuring proper vendor consolidation and sourcing opportunities.
  • Manage purchase orders (POs), supplier communications, and procurement-related activities to support operational needs.
  • Maintain strong vendor relationships and collaborate with suppliers to ensure on-time delivery and material availability.
  • Monitor inventory levels, demand requirements, and supply risks to support production schedules and business continuity.
  • Partner cross-functionally with Procurement, Manufacturing, Quality, Finance, and Supply Chain teams to improve processes and resolve supply issues.
  • Identify and implement continuous improvement initiatives across planning, procurement, inventory management, and SAP processes.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelors degree – Required
  • SAP – Required
  • 5+ years of experience in supply chain planning, procurement, materials management, SAP master data management, or related functions – Required
  • Pharmaceutical or Lifesciences industry experience – Required
