SAP S/4HANA Functional/Technical Consultant

Location: DEARBORN, Michigan (Onsite)

Role Overview

This position is for a functional and technical SAP resource with expertise in ERP implementations for SAP Material Management in Direct Procurement. The role focuses on the requisitioning to ordering process within the automotive or manufacturing industry. This position involves both new development and production support activities, including designing, developing, testing, and maintaining software applications to meet customer requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Work directly with business partners to deliver application changes.
• Perform requirements gathering, business analysis, fit-gap analysis, system testing, and documentation (FDD and TDD).
• Create use cases, user stories, and other requirements or specifications artifacts.
• Provide functional specifications and collaborate with Software Engineers (ABAP, PCF, Fiori).
• Conduct and support testing on the SAP platform, including functional, security, integration, and user acceptance testing.
• Support cutover, data profiling, extraction, and cleansing activities.
• Perform system configuration as needed.
• Analyze integration requirements and work with legacy non-SAP systems.
• Provide production support for launched functionality.

Required Qualifications

Education: Bachelors Degree

Experience: 6-12 years of total IT experience, including 3-4 years of hands-on experience in SAP MM and Direct Procurement.

Technical Skills:

• SAP S/4HANA
• SAP MM
• Procurement
• Experience providing functional specifications to software engineering teams.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in the automotive or manufacturing industry.
• Familiarity with Ariba Sourcing.
• Knowledge of Advanced Business Application Programming (ABAP).
• Experience working with developers specializing in ABAP, PCF, and Fiori.
• Relevant SAP Certification.

Work Environment

This role requires being onsite four days a week. Relocation may be considered.
