You will work closely with business, architecture, development, infrastructure, security, and onsite/offshore support teams. Using your SAP ECC Logistics expertise and strong technical capabilities, you will lead solution analysis, resolve complex production issues, improve application stability, and contribute to automation and AI driven innovation within SAP Application Management Services.

Your future duties and responsibilities:

  • Serve as the onsite SAP ECC Logistics technical functional lead across Materials Management, Sales and Distribution, Logistics Execution, Warehouse Management, and Production Planning processes.

  • Act as the primary liaison between supply chain, procurement, warehouse, manufacturing, sales, and technical delivery teams, converting business needs into clear functional and technical specifications.

  • Lead technical analysis and solution design for SAP Logistics enhancements, integrations, interfaces, data flows, reports, forms, and application changes.

  • Perform hands on SAP Logistics configuration, technical troubleshooting, debugging support, data analysis, interface monitoring, and issue resolution.

  • Investigate and resolve complex production incidents involving SAP configuration, ABAP developments, background jobs, IDocs, APIs, middleware, output processing, file based interfaces, and upstream or downstream systems.

  • Support end to end business processes including procure to pay, order to cash, inventory management, warehouse operations, shipping, transportation, and production planning.

  • Partner with ABAP developers, integration specialists, Basis, security, and infrastructure teams to design, build, test, deploy, and support technical solutions.

  • Review technical designs, development estimates, test results, transport plans, and deployment activities to ensure solutions meet business, security, performance, and supportability requirements.

  • Lead root cause analysis for recurring or high impact incidents and implement permanent corrective and preventive solutions.

  • Coordinate system, integration, regression, and user acceptance testing, including test planning, defect triage, and validation of end to end logistics processes.

  • Support release management, change management, cutover planning, transports, production deployments, and post implementation stabilization.

  • Provide technical guidance to onsite and offshore AMS teams, ensuring effective knowledge transfer, documentation, coding and configuration standards, and adherence to service level commitments.

  • Identify and implement opportunities for process optimization, monitoring, automation, and AI enabled improvements that increase operational efficiency and system reliability.

Required qualifications to be successful in this role:

  • Experience: Minimum 10+ years of overall SAP experience, including at least 8 years of hands-on SAP Logistics expertise and 7+ years of SAP Application Management Services (AMS) and production support experience.

  • Module Expertise: Deep functional knowledge of SAP ECC Logistics, particularly Materials Management (MM), Sales and Distribution (SD), Inventory Management, Procurement, Logistics Execution, and Warehouse Management, with working knowledge of Extended Warehouse Management (EWM) integrations.

  • Technical-Functional Expertise: Minimum 7 years of hands-on SAP Logistics configuration, solution analysis, troubleshooting, and enhancement support. Strong experience investigating ABAP developments, background jobs, IDocs, APIs, middleware, output processing, and integration failures.

  • Production Support & Incident Management: At least 7 years of experience resolving complex SAP Logistics production incidents, conducting root cause analysis, and implementing permanent corrective solutions for business-critical operational issues.

  • Integration Knowledge: Minimum 5 years of experience supporting cross-module integrations across SAP MM, SD, Finance (FI/CO), Warehouse Management, and external supply chain applications, including interface monitoring and troubleshooting.

  • Business Process Expertise: Strong understanding of end-to-end procure-to-pay, order-to-cash, inventory management, warehouse operations, shipping, transportation, and production planning processes.

  • AMS & Delivery Practices: Proven experience supporting SAP enhancements, technical specifications, integration testing, defect resolution, change management, production deployments, and collaboration with ABAP, Basis, integration, and offshore AMS teams.

  • Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to engage directly with supply chain, procurement, warehouse, and operations stakeholders.

  • Leadership & Problem Solving: Strong analytical and troubleshooting capabilities, hands-on ownership of critical production issues, and ability to lead urgent issue resolution across functional and technical teams.
