SAP IS-U Finance (FI) Contract Accounts (CA) Functional Consultant

Our New Jersey based client is seeking an experienced SAP IS-U Finance (FI) Contract Accounts (CA) Functional Consultant to join their project immediately and will run for 1 year, with possibility of an extension. The ideal candidate should have extensive FI-CA experience along with a strong functional background in Billing and FICA configurations for SAP ISU implementation projects involving Electric and Gas commodities. They should be comfortable working with collections, payments, clearing, and tax calculation and exception processes. Additionally, they should have experience with complex billing scenarios, including interval data, hourly billing, and budget billing. This will be a primarily remote role however travel to the client 1 week per month is required. 

Key Responsibilities:

• Configure and maintain FI-CA components, including collections, payments, clearing, and tax calculation/exception processes, to support Electric and Gas commodity business requirements.
• Design and implement Billing and FICA configurations for SAP ISU implementation projects, ensuring alignment with functional specifications and business needs.
• Support complex billing scenarios such as interval data, hourly billing, and budget billing, troubleshooting and resolving billing discrepancies as they arise.
• Manage collections and payment processing, including dunning, payment runs, clearing, and reconciliation activities within the FI-CA module.
• Configure and maintain tax calculation and exception handling to ensure accurate tax determination and compliance across commodity types.
• Collaborate with business stakeholders and technical teams to gather requirements, translate them into functional designs, and deliver SAP ISU solutions.
• Perform unit testing, integration testing, and support cutover activities during implementation projects, ensuring smooth deployment and post-go-live stability.
