SAP HANA / Trino Data Modeling Consultant (Finance Analytics)

Develop and maintain BW on HANA / BW4HANA solutions, including Composite Providers, Multi Providers, Open ODS Views, BEx Query Designer, and related reporting objects. Build and support advanced data models using CDS Views, Embedded Analytics, SAP BI Information Modeling, HANA SQL Script, Table Functions, and Stored Procedures.

Our Client, an IT Services and Consultant company, is looking for a SAP HANA / Trino Data Modeling Consultant (Finance Analytics) for their Rahway, NJ location.
 
Responsibilities:

• Design and develop SAP HANA 2.0 Information Models, Calculation Views, Synonyms, and HANA Live Models.
• Build and support advanced data models using CDS Views, Embedded Analytics, SAP BI Information Modeling, HANA SQL Script, Table Functions, and Stored Procedures.
• Develop and maintain BW on HANA / BW4HANA solutions, including Composite Providers, Multi Providers, Open ODS Views, BEx Query Designer, and related reporting objects.
• Design, implement, and optimize data views and materialized views within Trino and Starburst Enterprise environments.
• Develop automation solutions for scheduling and refreshing materialized views to improve performance and data availability.
• Implement and maintain real-time data replication using SLT, SDI, and Smart Data Access technologies.
• Perform performance analysis, troubleshooting, and debugging across SAP HANA and Trino environments.
• Support integration between SAP and non-SAP platforms, including hyperscaler cloud environments with preference for AWS.
• Define reusable frameworks, common schemas, standards, and best practices for enterprise analytics development.
• Create and manage Ranger security policies supporting data governance and access controls within Trino.
• Support SAP transport management processes, including SAP ALM and HANA transport activities.
• Collaborate with business, data engineering, and analytics teams to translate reporting and analytical requirements into technical solutions.
• Provide expertise in finance reporting, SAP FI tables, finance business processes, and Intercompany Profit Elimination analytics.

 
Requirements:

• Expert knowledge of SAP HANA 2.0 Information Modeling and Calculation View development.
• Strong experience with HANA SQL Script, Table Functions, Stored Procedures, CDS Views, and Embedded Analytics.
• Hands-on experience with BW on HANA or BW4HANA architecture and reporting frameworks.
• Strong expertise designing and optimizing solutions within Trino and/or Starburst Enterprise.
• Experience with real-time data replication technologies including SLT, SDI, and Smart Data Access.
• Experience integrating SAP and non-SAP systems.
• Strong performance tuning and debugging skills.
• Experience using SAP Web IDE, Eclipse (ADT), HANA Studio, and Git source control.
• Experience leveraging AWS cloud services for analytics solutions.
• Strong understanding of SAP Finance processes, FI tables, and Intercompany Profit Elimination concepts.
• Preferred Qualifications
• Experience supporting large-scale enterprise analytics environments.
• Knowledge of SAP Analytics and reporting best practices.
• Experience creating and supporting data governance and security frameworks in analytic platforms.
• Prior experience working in hybrid SAP and cloud-based analytics ecosystems
