Main Sail is seeking an SAP FICO/Project Systems consultant for a science and energy national laboratory. Our client uses SAP S4/HANA on premise (release 2023) as its primary business system. Financial costs are collected utilizing Project Systems projects/WBS elements, cost centers, and internal orders. The laboratory is interested in budgeting and planning capabilities in projects/WBS elements and cost.
Responsibilities:
Meet with subject matter experts to understand key business processes including:
Use of FICO and Project Systems modules.
Current methods for budgeting and planning.
Period budgeting capabilities to compare monthly spend projections to actuals.
Full-Time Equivalent (FTE) personnel period budgeting to compare monthly FTE projections to actuals.
Period projections in cost centers related to rated activities.
Capabilities in cost centers to support planning and rate development.
Multi-year planning capabilities to support outyears cost.
Recommend SAP solutions, with a focus on solutions available within SAP S4:
Cost Planning-transaction CJR2.
Fiori app for import of planning data.
Statistical key figure planning-transaction KP46.
Fiori app for import of statistical key figure planning data.
Other SAP S4 solutions for planning.

Qualifications:
8+ years of relevant experience and FICO/PS expertise performing the same or similar work within a National Laboratory, other Dept. of Energy, or Dept. of Defense environment.
Period of Performance:
ASAP for 10 weeks, with possible extensions up to 9/30/2027.
