Job Title: SAP Convergent Mediation (SAP CM) Consultant

Job Summary
My client is seeking an experienced SAP Convergent Mediation (SAP CM) Consultant to design, implement, and support mediation solutions within the SAP BRIM landscape. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in telecom or high-volume transactional environments, with hands-on experience in data mediation, transformation, and integration with downstream SAP systems such as Convergent Charging (CC) and Convergent Invoicing (CI).
Key Responsibilities
Design, configure, and implement SAP Convergent Mediation (CM) solutions for data collection, transformation, and distribution.
Develop and maintain mediation flows for high-volume data processing (e.g., usage records, event data).
Integrate SAP CM with SAP BRIM components such as:
SAP Convergent Charging (CC)
SAP Convergent Invoicing (CI)
SAP S/4HANA
Configure mediation pipelines including:
Data acquisition (file, stream, APIs)
Parsing and validation
Enrichment and transformation
Routing and distribution
Work with business stakeholders to understand billing, rating, and charging requirements.
Troubleshoot and resolve data inconsistencies, performance issues, and processing errors.
Optimize system performance for large-scale data processing.
Ensure data integrity and compliance with business rules.
Support end-to-end testing, UAT, and production deployments.
Create technical documentation, process flows, and operational guides.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams including billing, finance, and IT operations.
Required Skills & Qualifications
Strong hands-on experience with SAP Convergent Mediation (CM)
Experience with SAP BRIM ecosystem
Proficiency in:
Data mediation concepts (ETL-like processing)
File handling (CSV, XML, JSON)
Scripting within SAP CM (Java-based or similar)
Experience integrating with:
SAP Convergent Charging (CC)
SAP Convergent Invoicing (CI)
Understanding of telecom or subscription-based billing models
Strong debugging and performance tuning skills
Knowledge of Unix/Linux environments
Familiarity with SQL and database concepts
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
Preferred Qualifications
Experience in telecom, utilities, or subscription-based industries
Knowledge of real-time and batch data processing architectures
Experience with APIs, web services, and messaging systems (Kafka, REST, etc.)
Exposure to cloud environments (AWS, Azure, or GCP)
SAP certification in BRIM or related modules
Experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies
