Employees will report to Sanitation Lead, Sanitation Supervisor and/or Pest Control Supervisor.  

Position Summary:

ofi values in-person collaboration with colleagues – employees are expected to work their specific work schedule on site at their ofi location.

What You’ll Do - Position Responsibilities:

• Breakdown, clean, sanitize, inspect and set up work areas and equipment for all aspects of the facility and return areas and equipment to the necessary production ready conditions. 
• A requirement for this position is to work in small, confined spaces and to work at high levels including the roof of the facility. 
• Operate light to heavy equipment and a variety of hand and power tools in a safe and efficient manner. 
• A requirement of this position is to work 10- 12 hours on weekends and occasionally on holidays. 
• May be required to assist in the roaster as specified in Company policies and procedures. This includes preparing areas for cleaning, removing filters and doors, applying chemicals, scraping and cleaning, rinsing and returning roaster and surrounding area to condition to pass quality and productions inspections. 
• This individual may be required to be authorized to use a respirator. 
• May be required to be forklift certified for overhead cleaning and moving materials necessary in the completion of tasks. 
• Insure all chemicals are prepared and documentation completed for roaster cleaning duties and any other sanitation jobs that are assigned. 
• This employee is subject to work in outside environmental conditions and around fumes, odors, dust, and mists. They will be subject to hazards such as working around moving mechanical parts, and exposure to chemicals on a regular basis. 
•  While performing these duties, the employee is frequently required to stand, walk, sit, ushes hands to find to handle/ feel or pull, reach with hands and arms, climb or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl. Talk and hear. You will occasionally lift and/ or move heavy equipment parts, 40 to 50lbs, unassisted or assist others in moving, shifting or positioning heavier objects. 
• All employees are directly responsible for the Quality of Olam Edible Nuts products. Each employee must perform their job function in accordance to the GMP rules and the Sanitation, Safety and FMSAHACCP Programs. 
• Must follow safe practices and comply with all company, federal, state rules and regulations which apply to the job, including but not limited to, right to Know, emergency evacuation, electrical safety, confined space, blood borne pathogens, and lockout/tagout.  

Experience You’ll Bring – Role Requirements:

• Follows Good Manufacturing Practices guidelines, OSHA Safety standards, and applicable health codes at all times  
• Performs other duties, as assigned by Team Leader or Supervisor  
• Experience with and strong desire to increase knowledge  
• Proven proficiency at following directions.  
• Ability to work every weekend from 7am until 7pm.  
• Reliability is paramount.   
• Standing and walking for extended periods of time  
• Bending, stooping, and climbing  
• Mental and physical dexterity  
• Unassisted lifting up to 50 pounds with or without reasonable accommodation  
• Work in high/elevated temperatures due to heat of roaster  
• Mandatory use of required personal protective equipment  
• Repetition or sequence of duties such as using hands and arms to apply and rinse chemicals.  
• Work in confined space within the Roaster.  

Preferred Qualifications:
1. High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.
2. Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions. 3. Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

 The pay for this role ranges from $15.30 /hr and is based on position responsibilities and geographic location. Actual pay within this range may be determined based on the candidate's experience, qualifications, and/or other determining factors.
