The Sanitation Supervisor oversees sanitation operations, staff, and compliance within a production environment. This role ensures all cleaning processes, safety standards, and regulatory requirements are met while supporting efficient plant operations and audit readiness.
This is a full time position that works a 12 hour shift every Friday, Saturday, and Sunday
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan, assign, and supervise sanitation team workflow and daily activities
- Maintain sanitation schedules, chemical inventories, and proper documentation
- Ensure compliance with food safety standards, GMPs, HACCP, and safety regulations
- Train employees on sanitation procedures, chemical handling, and safety practices
- Conduct inspections, audits, and environmental testing (swabbing)
- Perform root cause analysis and implement corrective actions
- Coordinate pest control activities and track trends
- Support production schedules and collaborate with other departments
- Manage employee performance, scheduling, and timekeeping
- Prepare for and support third-party and customer audits
Requirements:
- Prior Experience in leadership role in sanitation, food manufacturing, or production environments required.
- Knowledge of food safety systems (HACCP, SQF, GMP) and regulatory compliance
- Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to train and supervise employees effectively
