Title: Sanitation & Janitorial Worker
Location: Manassas, VA 20109
Pay Rate: $20.90/hr on W2
Duration: 6 Months
SHIFT - MON-FRI 2 PM - 10: 30 PM.
Job Description:
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:
Minimum of High School Diploma required. No prior experience or training.
LANGUAGE ABILITY:
Ability to read and interpret a limited number of two and three-syllable words and to recognize similarities and differences between words and between series of numbers. Ability to print and speak simple sentences.
MATH ABILITY:
Ability to add and subtract two-digit numbers and to multiply and divide by 10s and 100 s. Ability to perform these operations using standard units of American weight measurement, volume, and distance.
REASONING ABILITY:
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out simple one or two-step instructions. Ability to deal with standardized situations with only occasional or no variables.
TECHNICAL SKILLS:
To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of basic principals of mechanical functioning and cause and effect.

Job Description:
- Complete day to day cleaning and sanitation work duties.
- Duties include cleaning and sanitizing all production machinery and equipment throughout plant including conveyor belts, screens, filters, kettles, pipes, walls, totes, sanding/ oiling drum, tables, and facility housekeeping including plant exterior, and ensure proper cleaning procedures are followed.
- Handle chemicals used in the process of cleaning and sanitation by following safety pre-caution.
- Complete the removal and disposal of waste and recycling in an effective manner.
- Document cleaning and sanitation activities records.
- Able to prioritize cleaning and sanitation duties to support production needs.
- Using ATP bioluminescence device to verify cleaning and sanitation effectiveness.
- Troubleshoot root cause of cleaning and sanitation failure, and work on problem solving.
- Observe and follow safety procedures.
- Observe and follow Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), Standard Operating Procedures
- (SOP), Standard Sanitation Operating Procedures (SSOP) Food Safety Plan (HACCP) and Food Quality Plan (FQP);
- Read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
- Take responsibility for maintaining facility and equipment in a clean and sanitary state.
- Participate in all necessary training is required to successfully perform job responsibilities.
- Other duties as assigned.
