Sanitation Cleaning Specialist - (Ingredient Storage)

This role includes preparing and mixing chemical cleaning solutions, operating sanitation equipment, and maintaining a safe and compliant work environment. The Environmental Cleaning Specialist is responsible for cleaning and sanitizing manufacturing and storage areas to support food safety, quality, and production requirements.

Position Summary
The Environmental Cleaning Specialist is responsible for cleaning and sanitizing manufacturing and storage areas to support food safety, quality, and production requirements. This role includes preparing and mixing chemical cleaning solutions, operating sanitation equipment, and maintaining a safe and compliant work environment.
Sunday - Thursday - 0730 to 1600

Key Responsibilities

• Perform housekeeping and sanitation tasks in accordance with established procedures and safety requirements.
• Clean and sanitize manufacturing areas, raw ingredient, and packaging storage locations.
• Prepare and accurately mix cleaning chemicals according to approved procedures.
• Operate sanitation equipment, including:
• Self-propelled floor scrubbers
• Floor buffers
• Chemical dispensing and cleaning equipment
• Follow all safety, GMP, and sanitation requirements while performing assigned duties.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of work areas and equipment.
• Operate a forklift or similar equipment when required by specific tasks (training provided and/or experience preferred).

Qualifications
Experience

• 0 to 1 year of related experience in sanitation, manufacturing, warehouse, or industrial environments preferred.
• Entry-level candidates with a willingness to learn are encouraged to apply.

Skills

• Knowledge of sanitation requirements in a manufacturing environment, or the ability to quickly learn and apply sanitation practices.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to accurately mix chemical cleaning solutions.
• Ability to follow written procedures and safety guidelines.
• Must have the ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Education
High school diploma or GED equivalent required.

Preferred Qualifications

• Forklift experience or certification.
• Previous experience in a food, pharmaceutical, or manufacturing environment.
