Sanitation Attendant

Position Purpose and Objectives

Under direction of department supervisor or manager, performs the cleaning and sanitization of the facility.

Essential Job Functions

• Compliance with all cGMP and SOP's.
• Communicates with Management and Supervisors as to the status of any potential safety issues.
• Clean, sanitize and maintain excellent standards for facility.
• Perform general cleanup in all areas of the facility as directed.
• Handle emergency cleaning and upkeep requests.
• Report inventory & equipment problems to appropriate personnel.
• Operate and maintain basic cleaning equipment.
• Perform other related duties incidental to the work described herein.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Required

• Maintain facility and equipment according to the highest standards of cleanliness, safety and regulated food production standards cGMPs.

Supervisory Responsibility

• None.

Working Conditions

• Strong interaction with Maintenance Manager, Production Manager and Supervisors.

Minimum Qualifications

• 2 years janitorial experience.
• Must conform to all quality standards of the company.
• Frequent lifting of up to 30 lbs.
• Ability to stand for up to 8 hours.
• Work frequently in a wet/humid & slippery environment.
• Able & willing to work overtime and weekends as needed.
• Ability to take initiative and work without close supervision.
• Must be reliable and have a strong work ethic.
• Knowledge in the use of cleaning supplies & chemicals and capable of comprehending additional training in sanitation & safety regulations.

Working Hours

First Shift: 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.

Second Shift: 3:15 p.m. to 11:45 p.m.
