ABOUT THE ROLE

A financial services organization is seeking a Mandarin-speaking sanctions professional to support day-to-day OFAC investigations and internal controls. This is a hands-on BAU position focused on reviewing potential sanctions-related activity, conducting investigations, maintaining case documentation, and supporting regulatory reporting. The ideal candidate will bring prior financial investigation experience and be comfortable independently managing daily casework.

RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Investigate potential OFAC-related payments, alerts, and sanctions cases.
  • Conduct hands-on financial investigations as part of daily BAU operations.
  • Prepare Voluntary Self-Disclosures and regulatory Notification Letters as needed.
  • Research transaction and customer information to assess potential sanctions concerns.
  • Monitor external sanctions-related negative news and conduct follow-up research.
  • Maintain accurate logs and documentation for sanctions investigations and cases.
  • Stay current on sanctions regulatory developments and internal sanctions policies.
  • Partner with relevant internal teams to escalate and resolve investigation matters.
  • Support ongoing sanctions controls and related compliance activities.
