Our client, a leader in laboratory services dedicated to advancing healthcare and scientific research, is seeking a Sample Coordinator to join their team. As a Sample Coordinator, you will be an essential part of the Laboratory Services department supporting laboratory staff and ensuring the integrity of sample handling processes. The ideal candidate will demonstrate meticulous attention to detail, proactive communication skills, and a commitment to quality and safety, which will align successfully in the organization.

Job Title: Sample Coordinator - Laboratory

Location: Richmond, VA

Pay Range: $18.30 base pay rate

Shift: Mon-Friday
1st shift- 8am-4pm 
2nd shift 4pm-1230am

What's the Job?

  • Perform a variety of sample and standard handling tasks including receipt, check-in, login, labeling, launching, inventory management, transport, and check-out.
  • Assist laboratory staff by following established SOPs and implementing sample handling procedures accurately.
  • Communicate the status of samples and standards to relevant laboratory personnel to ensure smooth workflow.
  • Guide and advise laboratory staff on sample and standard procedures, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards.
  • Complete investigation and deviation forms as needed, and determine appropriate CAPAs to address issues.

What's Needed?

  • High school diploma or equivalent, with relevant academic or vocational qualifications preferred.
  • At least 2 years of experience performing sample handling or related laboratory support tasks.
  • Basic knowledge of inventory control, laboratory documentation, and sample storage requirements.
  • Ability to write and review SOPs and process improvement outlines.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools such as Word and Excel, along with strong communication skills.
