    Description

    Salesforce Sales Analyst

    CRM Operations & Analytics

    About the Role

We are looking for a hands-on Salesforce Sales Analyst to own two critical functions: CRM support operations and sales analytics. You are the person that the staff calls on when Salesforce breaks as well as provide user training — and the person who builds the reports and dashboards that drive pipeline decisions. The role is split approximately 50/50 between support and analytics and requires genuine comfort in both.

    Key Responsibilities

CRM Support, Administration & User Enablement (~50%)

    • Manage the Salesforce support ticket queue — triage, prioritize, and resolve break-fix issues (broken workflows, validation rule conflicts, field mapping errors, duplicate records, failed automation) within SLA
    • Perform routine Salesforce administration: user provisioning, permission sets, page layouts, picklists, field updates, and record type configuration
    • Deliver exceptional customer service on every ticket — communicate with clarity, empathy, and urgency; set expectations and follow up proactively without being asked
    • Develop and maintain role-specific training documentation — written guides, quick-reference cards, and job aids tailored to non-technical sales users
    • Conduct onboarding and refresher training sessions to build user confidence and reduce repeat ticket volume; track adoption metrics and target users with recurring issues
    • Build and maintain a self-service knowledge base so users can resolve common issues independently; escalate complex technical issues to the Senior Admin or Developer with clear context

Sales Analytics, Reporting & Continuous Improvement (~50%)

    • Build, maintain, and organize Salesforce reports and dashboards tracking pipeline health, deal velocity, stage conversion, quota attainment, and rep productivity
    • Conduct and maintain a full Report & Dashboard Inventory — document purpose, owner, audience, data source, and logic for every key report; establish naming conventions and folder structure
    • Identify and retire duplicate, outdated, or unused reports — maintain a clean, trusted library over a cluttered one
    • Systematically map points of failure: where data breaks down, where reports produce inconsistent results, where manual overrides are occurring, and where user trust in the numbers has eroded
    • Document data quality gaps by field and object; recommend and implement remediation (validation rules, required fields, picklist standardization, targeted training)
    • Identify automation opportunities — flag repetitive manual steps as candidates for Salesforce Flow or workflow automation; deliver a prioritized recommendation list to Sales Ops leadership
    • Respond to ad hoc analysis requests from leadership; prepare clean, presentation-ready data packages for weekly pipeline reviews, QBRs, and executive briefings

    Required Qualifications

    • 2 years in a Salesforce-focused role: Sales Ops, CRM Ops, CRM Analyst, or Admin
    • Demonstrated experience triaging and resolving a real Salesforce support ticket queue
    • Solid Salesforce reporting and dashboard skills — build from scratch without documentation
    • Experience with HubSpot CRM — contacts, deals, pipelines, and reporting
    • Strong customer service orientation: patient, clear, and solution-focused with non-technical users
    • Experience creating user-facing training docs and instructional materials
    • Proficient in Excel / Google Sheets: pivot tables, VLOOKUPs, data cleaning
    • Analytical mindset — investigates root cause, not just symptoms
    • Strong written and verbal communication; high attention to detail

    Preferred Qualifications

    • Salesforce Admin (ADM-201) or Associate certification — or actively pursuing
    • HubSpot integration experience — connecting HubSpot to Salesforce, third-party tools, or data warehouses is a strong plus
    • Experience building or maintaining a CRM training library or knowledge base
    • Familiarity with Salesforce Flow or workflow automation
    • Experience with Tableau, Looker, Power BI, or equivalent BI tool
    • Experience with a ticketing system: Jira, ServiceNow, or Zendesk
    • Exposure to revenue intelligence tools: Gong, Clari, or Outreach
    • Experience using AI tools (including Claude) for documentation or data workflows
    • Prior experience supporting a quota-carrying B2B sales team

    The Ideal Candidate

Takes ownership without being asked. Has a genuine service mindset toward the team. Writes documentation that actually helps people. Treats a dashboard discrepancy as a puzzle worth solving — not a cell to overwrite. Is comfortable navigating both Salesforce and HubSpot environments and understands how data moves between them.

This is not a pure admin role and not a pure analyst role. If you strongly prefer one over the other, this may not be the right fit.

    • Full-time, direct-hire, in-house position.
    • In-person at the office in Poway, CA - not a remote role
