Job Summary
Join our team as a senior technical resource and trusted advisor in Salesforce development. You will provide expert guidance on coding standards, scalable solution design, and development best practices. This role supports multiple statewide Salesforce orgs, each with unique business processes and implementation complexity. Collaborate closely with development teams, vendor partners, and internal Salesforce org owners to deliver high-quality solutions that support critical services.
Roles and Responsibilities
- Provide expert-level technical guidance for Salesforce development teams.
- Review and advise on Apex classes, triggers, Lightning Web Components, and integration patterns.
- Translate complex business requirements into secure, high-performing technical solutions.
- Ensure custom development adheres to coding standards and security requirements.
- Support development efforts across multiple Salesforce orgs.
- Serve as a lead technical resource for complex enhancements and custom development initiatives.
- Evaluate vendor development deliverables for quality and technical accuracy.
- Participate in release planning, code reviews, testing coordination, and deployment activities.
- Act as a technical escalation point for debugging and performance optimization.
- Document technical designs and development patterns.
- Stay informed on new Salesforce capabilities and industry best practices.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Expert proficiency in Apex, Lightning Web Components, SOQL/SOSL, integrations, and Salesforce APIs.
- Strong understanding of Salesforce platform architecture and security models.
- Experience with Public Sector Solutions, Experience Cloud, Service Cloud, and Sales Cloud.
- Ability to guide and evaluate development work across multiple teams.
- Advanced problem-solving and diagnostic skills for complex technical issues.
- Working knowledge of Agile methodologies, CI/CD processes, and DevOps practices.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to convey complex technical concepts.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with agency teams and vendor developers.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum of five years of professional Salesforce development experience.
- Salesforce Platform Developer II certification is required or must be obtained within the established timeframe.
Preferences
- Experience in public sector or multi-org Salesforce environments.
Schedule and Location
Work in a hybrid environment based in Nashville, TN, a vibrant city with a rich cultural scene and a thriving tech community. The schedule is Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM CST.
