    Highlights

You will design and deliver the Salesforce systems behind two programs: an approval workflow that gives deal reviews a single intake, checks each deal against defined risk patterns, auto-approves low-risk engagements, and routes the rest to the right reviewers; and a contracting platform built on a contract lifecycle management (CLM) system, where you will lead the Salesforce side of the integration alongside two Salesforce engineers and our implementation partner. You will build on the Salesforce platform (Apex, Lightning Web Components, Flows, and platform APIs) and connect it to distributed AWS services and to the AI agents that sellers use to build deals conversationally.

    Description

Do you want to build the products that help AWS ProServe and Frontier AI teams understand customer needs, develop the right solutions, and deliver them at scale? We are looking for a Sr. Salesforce Developer (Software Development Engineer) to build the solutions that span ProServe, Frontier AI, and services teams within AWS Sales, Marketing and Global Sales.

Salesforce is at the center of how AWS moves deals from opportunity to signed contract. Today that path still runs through manual reviews, disconnected systems, and repeated data entry. We are rebuilding it, and large language models are a core part of how.

Salesforce stays the system of record throughout.

    Key job responsibilities

    • Design, build, and operate Salesforce applications and APIs (Apex, LWC, Flows, platform integrations) for contracting, approvals, and deal management, from design through deployment and operations
    • Architect solutions across Salesforce, internal AWS services, AI agents, and partner platforms so the approval workflow and contracting platform work as one system at scale
    • Build approval and workflow-orchestration logic (multi-stage routing, delegation, escalation, and gate enforcement) so contracting stays fast, compliant, and fully auditable
    • Design the Salesforce data model and APIs that AI agents use to create and update deals, so sellers can work through a conversational interface without re-entering data
    • Build and maintain integrations between Salesforce, internal AWS services, and third-party contracting platforms, keeping deal and account data in sync and accurate at scale
    • Partner with software engineers on cross-platform integrations so the interfaces between Salesforce and internal systems are clean, scalable, and well tested
    • Review code, give feedback that raises the team"s standards, and mentor engineers through documentation and pairing
    • Find root causes of operational issues and ship permanent fixes
    • Work with deal desk, legal, finance, the AWS partner business, and solutions architects to make sure what you build meets their needs

    About Company

At Amazon, we don’t wait for the next big idea to present itself. We envision the shape of impossible things and then we boldly make them reality. So far, this mindset has helped us achieve some incredible things. Let’s build new systems, challenge the status quo, and design the world we want to live in. We believe the work you do here will be the best work of your life.

Wherever you are in your career exploration, Amazon likely has an opportunity for you. Our research scientists and engineers shape the future of natural language understanding with Alexa. Fulfillment center associates around the globe send customer orders from our warehouses to doorsteps. Product managers set feature requirements, strategy, and marketing messages for brand new customer experiences. And as we grow, we’ll add jobs that haven’t been invented yet.

    It’s Always Day 1
At Amazon, it’s always “Day 1.” Now, what does this mean and why does it matter? It means that our approach remains the same as it was on Amazon’s very first day – to make smart, fast decisions, stay nimble, invent, and stay focused on delighting our customers. In our 2016 shareholder letter, Amazon CEO Jeff Bezos shared his thoughts on how to keep up a Day 1 company mindset. “Staying in Day 1 requires you to experiment patiently, accept failures, plant seeds, protect saplings, and double down when you see customer delight,” he wrote. “A customer-obsessed culture best creates the conditions where all of that can happen.” You can read the full letter here

    Our Leadership Principles
Our Leadership Principles help us keep a Day 1 mentality. They aren’t just a pretty inspirational wall hanging. Amazonians use them, every day, whether they’re discussing ideas for new projects, deciding on the best solution for a customer’s problem, or interviewing candidates.
