    Complete Description:

    Position Overview: The Dept. Early Care & Learning (DECAL) seek an experienced Senior Salesforce Developer to support enterprise-level Salesforce integrations, focusing on government system implementations and mentoring junior developers. While the intent may be a long-term tenure, this position is subject to annual budget restrictions. The initial contract is through the end of this fiscal year and is anticipated to be renewed July 1st.

    Work Location & Attendance:

    Physically located in Georgia

    On-site: Tuesday to Thursday: 2 Martin Luther King Jr. Drive SE, 754 East Tower Atlanta, Georgia 30334

    Mandatory in-person meetings

    Key Responsibilities:

    Custom Application Development: Design, develop, and deploy custom applications using Apex, Visualforce, Lightning Aura components and Lightning Web Components

    Database Management: Create and manage Salesforce objects and fields, write SOQL queries, and ensure data integrity

    Integration: Build and maintain integrations with third-party services using REST and SOAP APIs

    System Configuration: Configure Salesforce settings, manage user roles and permissions, and set up Lightning flows

    Troubleshooting and Support: Identify and fix bugs, provide technical support to end-users, and monitor system performance

    Technical Leadership: Lead technical design sessions, mentor junior developers, and ensure the overall technical quality of Salesforce implementations

    Required Qualifications:

    Education:

    Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field

    Experience:

    7+ years Salesforce development

    Technical Skills:

    Apex Programming.

    Lightning Web Components (LWC): Proficiency in developing modern, responsive UIs.

    SOQL and SOSL: Strong skills in Salesforce Object Query and Search Languages.

    Data Modeling and Management: Expertise in designing data models and ensuring data integrity.

    API Integration: Experience with REST and SOAP APIs for external system integration.

    DevOps and CI/CD: Familiarity with version control, continuous integration, and delivery using Salesforce DX.

    Security and Compliance: Knowledge of Salesforce security features and compliance best practices.

    Workflow Automation: Proficiency in creating automated workflows using Process Builder and Flow.

    Essential Certifications:

    Salesforce Certified Platform Developer I or II

    Salesforce App builder

    Soft Skills:

    Exceptional technical communication

    Strong analytical problem-solving

    Adaptability

    Cross-functional team collaboration

    Excellent documentation skills

    Preferred Experience:

    DevOps practices (CI/CD, Gearset, GitHub)
