Position Overview

Our client is seeking an experienced Sales Team Lead / Supervisor to lead and grow field sales efforts for a well-established building materials company specializing in quartz slabs and engineered stone products. This is a hands-on player-coach role covering New Jersey, the New York Metro Area, Philadelphia, and surrounding markets.

This is a player-coach role for a hands-on sales professional who can lead a field sales team while maintaining their own customer relationships, developing new business, and carrying an individual sales quota.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead, coach, and support a field sales team of at least two representatives.
• Manage an individual sales territory and meet assigned sales targets.
• Develop and maintain relationships with countertop fabricators, distributors, contractors, and other industry customers.
• Leverage existing customer relationships to grow sales and expand the customer base.
• Identify and develop new business opportunities within the assigned territory.
• Conduct regular customer visits, product presentations, and sales meetings.
• Monitor team performance and provide coaching and accountability.
• Collaborate with the Sales & Operations Manager to achieve overall sales goals.

Requirements

• 5+ years of B2B field sales experience, preferably in quartz slabs, countertops, engineered stone, or building materials.
• Strong, proven customer portfolio in the quartz/countertop industry, particularly within the fabricator network — this is essential.
• Experience managing or supervising a field sales team of at least two people.
• Proven track record of achieving sales targets and developing new business.
• Strong communication, relationship-building, negotiation, and leadership skills.
• Willingness to travel regularly throughout New Jersey, the New York Metro Area, Philadelphia, and surrounding markets.
• Ability to balance team leadership with individual sales responsibilities.

Compensation & Benefits

• $85,000–$100,000 base salary + sales commission
