Year-Round Sales & Reservations Manager 

Wet Planet is looking for a year round Manager to lead our dynamic Sales & Reservations Office!

Our team of Marketing & Sales specialists love coordinating adventures and getting people outside. With every interaction, we want our guests to feel the enthusiasm and care that goes into the experiences we create at Wet Planet.  

As the Sales & Reservations Manager, you will lead our small, energetic daily office team while also serving as one of the faces of Wet Planet within our local community.  You'll respresent Wet Planet at local tourism organizations and events, develop relationships with lodging and tourism partners, connect with media and other community partners, and seek out new opportunities to grow our business.

You'll will work closely with a Marketing Manager, who is responsible for developing and running our marketing campaigns and social media, creating a strong connection between our marketing efforts, sales, and the guest experience.   

The Guest Experiences Starts Here 

For many of our guests, their Wet Planet experience starts with a phone call, email, or visit to the Wet Planet office (store).  Your job is to make that first interaction informative, welcoming, and exciting - and give people the knowledge and confidence to pursue their rafting or kayaking adventure.  

With a good ear for what guests are looking for, and a willingness to learn the details of our trips and courses, you'll help your team answer questions, match guests with the right adventure, and turn inquiries into reservations- and ideally, into lifelong Wet Planet guests and friends.

An eye for detail, strong organizational skills, and enjoyment of a dynamic administrative environment are essential. The Sales & Reservations team handles a wide range of responsibilites, includeing welcoming our daily rafting and kayaking guests, responding to inquiries, answering phone calls and emails,  processing reservations, and keeping the office running smoothly.

More Than an Office. 

The Wet Planet Office is more than just an office. It's a dynamic team that works closely with the rest of the operation, including our base retail store, and the crews working on the river. 

While the experience starts here, the office team is also closely connected to the daily logistics of all our trips and courses. From welcoming guests when they arrive to briefing river guides on group specifics, you're involved in many aspects of our trips and guest's experiences.

Each year, many of our guests and team members return to enjoy the abundance of beautiful rivers we raft and kayak in Washington, Oregon and Idaho. Our headquarters sits on the banks of the White Salmon River in the heart of the Columbia River Gorge, surrounded by a whitewater paradise and an incredible community of boaters. It's an ideal location for people who want to work in the outdoor industry, spend time on the river, and be part of the Pacific Northwest whitewater community.

Qualifications & Experience:

• Previous experience, in sales, hospitality, customer service, guest services, the outdoor industry, or related field
• Previous supervisory or management experience preferred
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
• Solid administrative and sales experience 
• General interest in the outdoors and, ideally, whitewater- or a genuine desire to learn 
• Comfortable working in a seasonal outdoor industry environment that is informal, energetic, and professional
• Ability to stay organized and positive in a fast-paced, busy environment
• Comfortable learning and using technology, including online platforms, spreadsheets, reservation systems, and AI tools
• Ability to work indipendently while also being an engaged and supportive team member 

Schedule & Availability: 

Full Time, year-round position 

• 4 days per week during the off-season
• 5 days per week during the operating season
• Weekend and holiday availability is expected during the operating season

Compensation:

$26-32 per hour, based on relevant experience and qualifications.
