Overview:
We are seeking a motivated and knowledgeable Salvage Auto Parts Sales Representative to join our team. The ideal candidate will specialize in selling used and salvaged automotive parts, providing exceptional customer service, and ensuring customers find the right components for their vehicles. This role requires strong communication skills, technical knowledge of automotive parts, and the ability to build lasting customer relationships. Key Responsibilities: - Assist customers in identifying and purchasing salvaged auto parts that meet their needs.
- Provide expert advice on compatibility, functionality, and availability of parts.
- Maintain a thorough understanding of the inventory, including new arrivals and high-demand items.
- Process sales transactions accurately and efficiently, including cash, credit, and online payments.
- Collaborate with the inventory team to ensure parts are properly cataloged and stored.
- Handle customer inquiries, complaints, and returns professionally and promptly.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with customers, including auto repair shops, mechanics, and individual buyers.
- Stay updated on industry trends, pricing, and competitor offerings to provide competitive solutions.
- Meet or exceed sales targets and contribute to the overall success of the business.
Qualifications: - High school diploma or equivalent; additional education in automotive technology is a plus.
- Systems experience with Auto Info, Checkmate, Hollander and/or Pinnacle strongly preferred
- Proven experience in auto parts sales, preferably in salvage or used parts.
- Strong knowledge of automotive systems, parts, and their applications.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Suite
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Proficiency in using inventory management systems and point-of-sale software.
Preferred Skills: - Bilingual abilities to assist a diverse customer base.
- Familiarity with online sales platforms for auto parts.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Physical Requirements - The job requires constant use of hands and arms, sitting in front of a computer for long periods, significant bending and reaching.
Physical ability to lift and move heavy parts as needed. Ability to lift and pull at least 50lbs. Good hearing and vision required. Ability to communicate clearly with customers. Benefits Offered: - Paid Time Off & Paid Holidays
