Sales Representative - Compression / Power Reports
Job Summary
Travel to current and potential customers seeking opportunities to apply Arrow Engine and Compression reciprocating compressors, natural gas engines and power generation products. Compile information required to work independently or with Application Engineers to prepare detailed technical proposals timely and accurately. Monitor industry trends, competitor activities, and regulatory changes to adjust sales strategies and provide forecasting and market insight to management.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
• Travel to current and potential customers to apply Arrow Engine and Compression reciprocating compressors, natural gas engines and power generation products. • Compile information required to work independently or with Application Engineers to prepare detailed technical proposals timely and accurately. • Monitor industry trends, competitor activities, and regulatory changes to adjust sales strategies and provide forecasting and market insight to management. • Prepare and submit monthly forecasts for compression and power product sales using provided CRM, capturing new opportunities, following up on existing and using the defined sales funnel. • Work closely with other representatives to cross-sell other product lines through approved channels to market. • Negotiate contracts and orders with all levels of distribution. • Prepare and submit trip reports to management team. • Provide input for product improvements and new product development. • Assist in set up, tear down, and product promotion during assigned trade shows. • Assist in parts sales when appropriate. • Other duties as required
Minimum Education and Experience Requirements
• College degree preferred with equivalent experience considered. • 4-6 years of technical sales / territory management responsibility with preference for mechanical, compression or power generation experience.
Job Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
• Knowledge of market and competition. • Strong presentation, communication, and organizational skills (multi-taking ability). • Proficient in Microsoft Office programs. • Willingness to learn additional software and duties as required (Syteline). • Regular travel required. • Team oriented but able to operate independently. • Extremely goal oriented.
Physical Demands
• 50% Travel requirements • Light to moderate physical labor occasionally • Work Environment: Exposure to elements such as odor, noise, dust, heat, cold or chemicals
Work Schedule
• Regular Schedule: Monday through Friday, 8:00am - 5:00pm. • Overtime as needed.
