    About the Role

    The Sales Reconciliation Specialist plays an important role in ensuring Fleet Farm accurately accounts for sales and receives payment for transactions across our stores, convenience centers, and Auto Service Centers.

    Youll review daily sales activity, reconcile payments and deposits, research discrepancies, and help resolve Point-of-Sale (POS) issues. Youll work with Store Operations, Inventory, Loss Prevention, the Contact Center, and Finance to investigate issues and ensure transactions are accurately recorded.

    What Youll Do

    • Audit daily sales transactions and totals for all Fleet Farm locations.
    • Reconcile credit cards, checks, deposits, coupons, and other forms of payment.
    • Research and resolve discrepancies between sales, payments, deposits, and financial records.
    • Follow up on credit card chargebacks, returned checks, and Credit Card Exception Reports.
    • Perform monthly reconciliations and assist with general ledger account reconciliation.
    • Research and resolve Point-of-Sale (POS) transaction issues.
    • Support store team members and the Contact Center with transaction-related questions.
    • Investigate potential fraudulent activity and partner with Loss Prevention when needed.
    • Work with Inventory and other internal teams to resolve transaction issues.
    • Analyze sales and transaction data to identify trends and opportunities for improvement.
    • Prepare reports and ad-hoc analysis for management.
    • Follow established internal controls, policies, and procedures.
    • Cross-train with team members and contribute to a collaborative team environment.

    What Were Looking For

    • Associates degree or higher in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related field; equivalent relevant experience may be considered.
    • 2+ years of progressive experience in accounting, finance, reconciliation, auditing, retail, banking, or a related field.
    • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with excellent attention to detail.
    • Intermediate Excel skills, including experience with pivot tables and macros.
    • Ability to work independently, manage deadlines, and maintain accuracy in a fast-paced environment.
    • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
    • Ability to learn and navigate ERP and POS systems.

    Preferred: Experience with sales audit/reconciliation, retail POS systems, credit card transactions or chargebacks, general ledger reconciliations, or Oracle/other ERP systems.
