Sterling Engineering is seeking a Sales Operations Coordinator to support the commercial operations team of a growing manufacturing organization. This full-time, onsite role focuses on quote management, proposal coordination, reporting, and administrative support for the commercial team. This is not a direct sales or commission-based position.
Key Responsibilities:
- Coordinate quote and proposal activities from initial request through final submission.
- Review customer requirements, specifications, and supporting documentation.
- Prepare accurate quotations and pricing documentation in partnership with internal teams.
- Track open quotes and provide status updates throughout the bid process.
- Maintain CRM systems, sales records, and other commercial reporting tools.
- Assist with sales forecasting activities and prepare routine reports for leadership.
- Support contract review and documentation processes as needed.
- Serve as a liaison between customers and internal departments including Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality, and Operations.
- Help ensure timely responses to customer requests and inquiries.
- Identify opportunities to improve administrative processes and workflow efficiency.
Required Experience:
- Experience working in a manufacturing, industrial, or technical environment required.
- Previous experience in sales support, customer service, commercial operations, order management, proposal coordination, or a related support function preferred.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- High attention to detail and accuracy when working with quotations and documentation.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel and Outlook.
- Experience using CRM systems and/or ERP systems preferred.
