Sales Operations Business Process Analyst

Salesforce | Sales Operations | Revenue Operations | Forecasting & Analytics

Are you a Sales Operations or Revenue Operations professional who knows how to turn Salesforce data, business requirements, and sales processes into actionable insights and scalable solutions?

Our client is seeking an experienced Sales Operations Business Process Analyst to improve sales execution by optimizing Salesforce-supported processes, strengthening pipeline and forecasting discipline, and delivering trusted reporting and business insights.

This highly visible role partners with Sales Leadership, Sales Operations, Finance, IT, and Salesforce administrators to improve business processes, data quality, Salesforce adoption, forecasting, and executive decision-making.

What You'll Do

Salesforce & Sales Process Optimization

  • Analyze, document, and improve sales processes supporting opportunity management, qualification, pipeline progression, forecasting, territory management, lead management, and account planning

  • Establish and maintain business rules, field definitions, SOPs, governance controls, review cadences, and escalation processes

  • Identify process inefficiencies and recommend scalable improvements involving Salesforce, automation, data, reporting, training, and business processes

  • Improve Salesforce adoption, data quality, sales productivity, and forecasting discipline

  • Develop user guidance and training and measure the effectiveness of corrective actions and process improvements

Business Analysis & Solution Delivery

  • Partner with business and technical stakeholders to translate business needs into requirements, desired outcomes, dependencies, priorities, risks, and acceptance criteria

  • Evaluate potential solutions based on business requirements, data availability, system capabilities, expected benefits, and implementation considerations

  • Manage and prioritize the Salesforce process and reporting enhancement backlog

  • Maintain visibility into project status, decisions, risks, priorities, and unresolved issues

  • Support solution design, testing, validation, deployment readiness, business acceptance, and post-implementation reviews

Reporting, Forecasting & Business Insights

  • Design and maintain Salesforce dashboards, reports, scorecards, exception reporting, and recurring business-review analytics

  • Support reporting across pipeline, forecasting, bookings, revenue, customer activity, and sales performance

  • Establish consistent reporting definitions, fields, filters, calculations, data sources, and reporting periods

  • Validate reporting accuracy and investigate discrepancies between dashboards, source reports, and underlying data

  • Conduct historical, trend, variance, and root-cause analysis

  • Analyze forecast accuracy, pipeline aging, opportunity movement, deal slippage, stage progression, conversion rates, value changes, and timing changes

  • Identify material risks, exceptions, trends, and performance drivers

  • Develop concise, executive-ready insights and recommendations for monthly, quarterly, and annual business reviews

  • Monitor required-field completion, data-update timeliness, process adoption, and forecast compliance

  • Evaluate AI, Salesforce automation, and analytical capabilities that can improve sales efficiency and decision-making

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Analytics, Information Systems, or a related field, or equivalent relevant experience

  • 5+ years of experience in Sales Operations, Revenue Operations, business analysis, CRM process improvement, business analytics, or a related function

  • 3+ years of hands-on Salesforce Lightning experience, including reporting, dashboards, process optimization, deployment support, or related sales capabilities

  • Strong understanding of opportunity management, pipeline management, sales forecasting, bookings, revenue reporting, and KPI measurement

  • Experience translating business requirements into practical Salesforce, reporting, process, or analytical solutions

  • Demonstrated experience managing enhancement priorities and supporting testing and business acceptance

  • Strong skills in data validation, variance analysis, root-cause analysis, process design, and problem-solving

  • Ability to translate complex data and business information into clear recommendations for executive, business, and technical audiences

Preferred Qualifications

  • Salesforce Administrator or Salesforce Business Analyst certification

  • Experience with Salesforce AI and Agentforce

  • Experience with CRM Analytics, Tableau, Power BI, Oracle Analytics, or comparable BI and reporting platforms

  • Experience with historical snapshots, forecast-movement reporting, pipeline trend analysis, and complex bookings or revenue forecasting

  • Experience supporting global B2B sales organizations

  • Advanced Microsoft Excel and data-analysis skills

The ideal candidate combines the analytical mindset of a Sales/Revenue Operations professional with the process and requirements expertise of a Business Analyst.
