Description

Alloy Personal Training South Tampa is seeking an experienced, energetic and results-driven Sales & Membership Growth Manager to help lead the continued growth of our studio. This is first and foremost a sales position: we are looking for someone who has successfully sold personal training, understands the fitness business, knows how to conduct an effective consultation and Starting Point Session, and is comfortable asking for and closing the sale. The ideal candidate has hands-on experience with Mindbody Business, personal training experience, and a strong understanding of the South Tampa community. Our goal is to grow and maintain a thriving studio of approximately 130-150 active members, and this position will play an important role in helping us achieve and sustain that goal.

Job Responsibilities

Respond promptly to incoming leads from digital marketing, social media, referrals, walk-ins and community outreach; contact prospects by phone, text and email

Schedule and conduct Starting Point Sessions (SPS); understand each prospect's goals, challenges, previous fitness experiences and motivation

Present Alloy's personal training programs and membership options; professionally handle objections and confidently ask for and close the sale

Consistently follow up with prospects who do not initially join, re-engage older leads, and generate referrals from existing members

Utilize Mindbody Business to manage leads, appointments, memberships and member information; maintain accurate prospect records and track every prospect through the sales funnel

Provide weekly reporting on sales activity and results; meet established weekly and monthly membership goals (10+ qualified leads/week, 10+ new members/month)

Identify and develop relationships with complementary local businesses (medical practices, physical therapists, wellness providers, country clubs, boutiques, etc.) to create referral opportunities

Represent Alloy at community events, health fairs, races, charity events and corporate wellness programs; participate in grassroots neighborhood outreach

Capture member testimonials, support local social-media content, and help execute referral campaigns and special events

Support new-member onboarding, develop strong relationships with members, and support retention initiatives

Qualifications

Required: Proven personal training sales experience with demonstrated success conducting fitness consultations and closing personal training memberships; personal training experience and strong understanding of fitness; strong consultative sales and closing skills; excellent communication and relationship-building abilities; comfortable making outbound calls and consistently following up with prospects; goal-oriented and comfortable being accountable for measurable results; strong organizational and time-management skills; comfortable working independently; ability to work approximately 30 hours per week with availability for some mornings, evenings and weekends.

 

Strongly Preferred: Hands-on Mindbody Business experience; 3-5 years of fitness or personal training sales experience; nationally recognized Personal Training Certification; degree in Kinesiology or Exercise Science; boutique fitness or small-group personal training experience; experience with Trainerize; community networking or business-development experience.

 

South Tampa Connection: Candidates who live in South Tampa, grew up in South Tampa, have worked in the area, or already have strong personal and professional relationships throughout the South Tampa community will have an advantage. This is not an absolute requirement, but local knowledge and relationships are highly valued.
