Are you highly organized, detail-oriented, and energized by supporting a sales team? We are seeking a Sales & Marketing Support Specialist to help support business growth by maintaining customer and prospect information, supporting CRM processes, coordinating sales activities, and assisting with marketing initiatives.

This role serves as a resource for our sales team by helping manage customer data, identify opportunities, generate reports, and support account management activities. The position also assists with marketing administration and serves as a trained backup for label creation and printing operations when needed.

What You'll Do:

• Provide day-to-day sales support, including customer and prospect research, CRM maintenance, contact updates, lead assignment, opportunity tracking, and follow-up coordination.
• Leverage lead-generation platforms to identify new contacts, buying influencers, account changes, and potential opportunities, enabling the sales team to expand customer relationships and generate new business.
• Generate and distribute sales reports, customer activity updates, pipeline reports, and other business intelligence that helps the sales team prioritize opportunities and manage accounts effectively.
• Assist with Excess & Obsolete (E&O) inventory management by identifying aging inventory, preparing reports, communicating opportunities to the sales team, and supporting initiatives to reduce excess stock.
• Support account and territory management activities, helping sales representatives stay organized and focused on revenue-generating opportunities.
• Support marketing initiatives by updating content, maintaining product and customer information, coordinating campaign execution, and assisting with website, CRM, and marketing system updates.
• Help maintain marketing materials, product information, and digital content.
• Serve as a trained backup for label creation and printing processes to ensure business continuity during absences or periods of high demand.
• Follow established label procedures and quality requirements, providing support only as needed while maintaining primary focus on sales support responsibilities.

What You'll Bring:

• Strong attention to detail and accuracy

• Proficiency with Microsoft Office: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook and Teams

• Ability to research companies, contacts, markets, and competitors using online tools a

• Ability to create basic presentations, reports, and business materials.

• Comfortable communicating with customers, prospects, and internal team members via email and phone.

• Ability to learn and understand products, applications and industries

• Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and collaboratively

• Ability to handle confidential business information professionally.

• Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, or a related field preferred.

• Relevant work experience may be considered in lieu of formal education.

• 1-3 years of experience in sales support, marketing support, customer service, business development, or a related role.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with CRM or ERP systems strongly preferred

• Experience supporting a sales team within a manufacturing environment preferred

• Industrial, manufacturing, mechanical, welding, brazing, thermal spray or maintenance-related experience
