GENERAL FUNCTION
The Public Relations Specialist is responsible for coordinating the day-to-day activities of the US-based
Public Relations team, providing critical administrative PR support across the company s eyewear
brands and optical retail. This role is hybrid (3 days in office) and based in New York City and reports to
the Americas PR Managers, with dotted lines to the other members of the PR team for whom the role
secondarily supports.
ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
" Assist in developing and implementing brand-specific PR plans, influencer marketing, event and
activities in local markets
" Liaise with external agency partners in North America and LATAM to equip them with all
necessary PR assets (press releases, photos/videos, samples/seeding products), PR/influencer
strategies, shipping documents as well as collect results/recaps from those agencies/markets and
create comprehensive recaps for the global team
" Maintain and manage influencer lists and conduct ongoing influencer research
" Support in PR asset development, when necessary (if not provided by global), including press
releases, media alerts, talking points and presentations.
" Reconciling and processing invoices and finance process and supporting in budget management
" Support on product management and inventory, shipping and logistics management
" Schedule meetings and ensures that all preparations are made prior to the meeting time in
addition to capturing meeting notes
" Support in planning, execution and recapping of all PR and influencer activities
" Create, compile and/or review detailed Excel and PowerPoint documents
" Coordinate communication between internal team and external partners
" Ensure accuracy of press and social results tracking, utilizing DMR and Companion platforms
" Assist in achieving excellent results through editorial press, social/influencer programs and paid
editorial/media opportunities
" Support on general administrative support of PR activations and team as needed
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
" Bachelor s degree in public relations, Marketing, Media, Communications or Business
" Minimum 3 years of experience in PR (agency or in-house)
" Full time contractor role, 40 hours per week with 3 days per week in NYC office - able to work
evenings and weekends, when applicable
" Excellent written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills
" Excellent verbal and written communication skills and ability to work independently with minimal
supervision as well as part of a team
" Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook
" Outstanding logistics, project-management and follow-up skills
" Existing knowledge of and desire to learn more about the PR, media and influencer landscapes
" Excellent verbal and written communication skills and ability to work independently with minimal
supervision as well as part of a team
" Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
" Highly organized, self-starter, strong initiative
" Ability to work on multiple projects and prioritize workload
" Eligible to work in the U.S. with no restrictions
" August 2026 - December 2026, possibility to extend
PLUS:
" Experience working with DMR, CreatorIQ or other press/social coverage tracking platforms
" Experience with Influencer Marketing
