    Sales Manager


    Michigan (Field-Based)

    Hybrid | Travel Throughout Michigan

    Full-Time | Direct Hire

    Salary: $150,000 annually



    Reliance One, Inc. is seeking an experienced Sales Manager to drive profitable sales growth throughout Michigan for a leading industrial manufacturing organization. This role is responsible for developing strategic customer relationships, expanding market share, growing channel partner networks, and delivering consultative solutions that meet customer needs.

    The ideal candidate is a results-driven sales professional with a strong background in technical or industrial sales who thrives on building long-term partnerships and identifying new business opportunities.


    What You'll Be Doing

    • Develop and maintain strong relationships with OEMs, distributors, and end users throughout Michigan.
    • Execute strategic sales plans to achieve annual revenue, profitability, and market growth objectives.
    • Identify, qualify, and develop new business opportunities while expanding existing customer accounts.
    • Deliver consultative technical and commercial solutions tailored to customer applications and business needs.
    • Prepare quotations, negotiate pricing, and manage opportunities throughout the entire sales cycle.
    • Maintain accurate customer records, forecasts, quotations, and pipeline activity using CRM software.
    • Analyze market trends, competitive activity, and customer needs to identify growth opportunities.
    • Collaborate with Engineering, Operations, Customer Service, and other internal teams to ensure successful project execution and customer satisfaction.
    • Develop accurate sales forecasts and provide regular performance reporting.
    • Represent the company at customer meetings, trade shows, networking events, and industry conferences.
    • Travel throughout Michigan to support customers and drive new business development.
    • Perform additional duties as needed to support organizational growth.


    Qualifications – What You Bring (Must Haves)

    • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business, Marketing, or a related field, or equivalent industry experience.
    • 5+ years of successful experience in technical or industrial sales.
    • Proven track record of consultative selling and developing long-term customer relationships.
    • Strong understanding of technical products, engineering drawings, and customer specifications.
    • Excellent negotiation, presentation, communication, and problem-solving skills.
    • Experience using CRM software and Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
    • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities independently.
    • Self-motivated with the ability to work independently while collaborating across cross-functional teams.
    • Willingness to travel approximately 50% throughout Michigan.
    • Preferred Qualifications (Added Bonus)
    • MBA or advanced business degree.
    • Experience working with OEMs, industrial manufacturers, or distribution networks.
    • Experience selling engineered products or technical manufacturing solutions.
    • Established customer relationships within Michigan's manufacturing market.
    • Strong business development and strategic account management experience.
