Responsibilities:
Sales Manager
Location: North America
Some sales roles are about keeping things ticking over. This isn’t one of them.
At Morgan Advanced Materials, we make engineered materials and components that help customers solve complex manufacturing and performance challenges. Our products end up in industries where reliability matters, from heavy equipment and automation through to aerospace and advanced manufacturing.
We’re looking for a Major Accounts & OEM Sales Manager to grow strategic customer relationships, win new business, and help shape the future of our North American OEM portfolio. You'll be trusted to spot opportunities, build long-term partnerships, and turn commercial plans into real results.
The Role
You'll take ownership of key OEM and major account relationships across North America, balancing strategic account management with new business development.
One day you might be sitting down with a customer to discuss a long-term supply agreement. The next, you'll be working with Engineering, Operations, and Product teams to launch a new opportunity or solve a complex customer challenge. It's a role for someone who enjoys building relationships, creating growth strategies, and getting deals across the finish line.
What You'll Do
- Develop and grow relationships with major accounts and OEM customers across North America
- Create and execute account plans that drive revenue, profitability, and market share growth
- Lead commercial discussions, including pricing negotiations and long-term supply agreements
- Identify and secure new OEM and strategic business opportunities
- Build and manage a healthy sales pipeline focused on sustainable growth
- Monitor market trends, customer activity, and competitor movements to identify opportunities
- Prepare forecasts, budgets, and account business plans
- Use CRM, ERP, Power BI, and other commercial tools to support decision-making
- Partner closely with Engineering, Operations, Product Management, Customer Service, and Supply Chain teams
- Support Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP) activities
- Champion Morgan's ThinkSAFE culture and commitment to workplace safety
Qualifications:
About You
- You have experience in industrial sales, business development, key account management, or OEM sales
- You've successfully managed strategic customer relationships and grown existing accounts while winning new business
- You know how to navigate complex sales cycles and stakeholder groups without losing sight of the end goal
- You're confident leading negotiations and discussing commercial agreements
- You can translate customer needs into practical business opportunities
- You enjoy working cross-functionally and bringing people together to solve problems
- You're comfortable using CRM systems, forecasting tools, and sales analytics to support decisions
- A background in graphite, carbon products, powdered metal, sintered metal, or other engineered materials would be highly valued
- Experience supporting Industrial, OEM, Automation, Automotive, Aerospace, Manufacturing, or Heavy Equipment customers would be advantageous
- A degree in Engineering, Business, Materials Science, Metallurgy, Marketing, or a related field is preferred, though relevant industry experience carries plenty of weight too
What You'll Get
- A strategic, customer-facing role with significant visibility and influence
- The opportunity to shape growth across key OEM and major accounts
- Exposure to a broad range of industrial and advanced material applications
- Collaboration with experienced commercial, engineering, and operational teams
- Travel across North America, typically around 20-30%, with occasional international travel
- The chance to build long-term customer partnerships rather than simply chase short-term targets
Interested?
If you're someone who enjoys developing strategic relationships, uncovering new opportunities, and growing business in complex industrial markets, we'd like to hear from you.
