The Role

At Sovos, we''re building the future of eCommerce tax compliance for thousands of small and mid-sized businesses across the US. As an eCommerce Sales Manager, you''ll lead a high-performing team of sales and customer success professionals who help companies navigate 1099/W-2 filing, unclaimed property management, and identity verification. You''ll drive new customer acquisition, expand existing relationships, and ensure our customers get maximum value from our solutions, all while shaping the strategy for a fast-growing part of our business.

More specifically, you will:

• Lead, coach, and develop a team of Sales Representatives and Customer Success Representatives through regular one-on-ones, pipeline reviews, and performance coaching that drives individual and team results.
• Own and deliver new logo and revenue targets across the US eCommerce portfolio, identifying expansion opportunities within existing accounts and leveraging AI tools to optimize pipeline visibility and forecasting accuracy.
• Build revenue growth by expanding ISV partner networks, increasing customer usage and penetration, and strengthening renewal and upsell functions.
• Manage the end-to-end renewal process for an assigned book of business, building renewal timelines, forecasting churn probability, and coordinating with cross-functional teams on customer retention strategies.
• Accelerate the migration of legacy desktop customers to cloud solutions by tracking conversion pipelines, escalating blockers proactively, and serving as the internal voice of the customer to Product and Marketing teams.
• Partner with Marketing on segmentation, lead flow, campaign execution, and conversion optimization, and collaborate with eCommerce leadership to design competitive strategies that improve win rates.
• Maintain CRM hygiene and report on key metrics including new sales, annual revenue, upsell/cross-sell performance, renewal rates, migration conversion, and team productivity.

What You Bring to Sovos

• You''ve built relevant experience in outside sales, inside sales, account management, or customer success roles within a SaaS or subscription software environment, with experience managing both new business and renewal/expansion motions.
• You have experience managing or leading a sales or customer success team, and you''ve coached and developed early-career and internationally based professionals.
• You bring strong CRM discipline (Salesforce preferred) and a data-driven approach to pipeline and performance management, with comfort using AI-assisted workflows to improve forecasting and decision-making.
• You communicate clearly and stay organized while managing high-velocity, transactional sales cycles across multiple stakeholders.
• Familiarity with IRS information reporting, 1099 filing, tax compliance software, customer migration programs, or SMB-focused eCommerce sales motions is a plus.
• Due to client contractual obligations, the successful candidate will be asked to clear a background check and drug test upon hire.
