Job Summary:
  • Our client is looking for a Sales Manager specializing in Drive Technology (Gears & Winches) to lead sales across North and South America. This field-based role focuses on strategic sales growth, technical negotiations, and customer relationship management for specialized industrial drive systems.
  • Drive revenue growth by managing Gears & Winches sales in the Americas through strategic planning, client negotiations, and market expansion.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to deliver technical solutions while spending 50%+ time in the field, including extensive U.S. and international travel. Remote eligible for qualified candidates.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage all sales activities for Gears & Winches across North and South America.
  • Conduct commercial and technical negotiations directly with customer procurement teams.
  • Develop and execute strategic sales plans to meet company revenue targets.
  • Identify new business opportunities, markets, and partnerships.
  • Build and maintain relationships with key clients and industry partners.
  • Support inside sales on operational tasks including quotes, invoices, and follow-ups.
  • Monitor market trends, competitors, and adjust strategies accordingly.
  • Prepare sales forecasts, performance reports, and market analyses.
  • Collaborate with marketing and product teams to align offerings and messaging.
  • Negotiate contracts, close deals, and ensure post-sales customer satisfaction.
  • Represent the company at trade shows, industry events, and client meetings.
Required Qualifications:
  • 3 5+ years of successful outside sales experience, ideally in drive technology.
  • Strong technical aptitude with deep understanding of drive systems, gears, and winches.
  • Proven ability to handle commercial and technical negotiations with procurement teams.
  • Valid driver's license with clean driving record.
  • Willingness to travel extensively (> 50% time), including international trips.
  • Excellent communication, team collaboration, and customer-oriented mindset.
  • Proficient in MS Office; Sage experience preferred.
  • Structured, independent worker comfortable with high responsibility.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, business, or related technical field.
  • Prior experience in technical sales within industrial or manufacturing sectors.
  • Familiarity with Sage ERP system.
Additional Information:
  • Location: Remote eligible; primarily field-based across the Americas.
  • Travel: Extensive U.S. travel required, plus occasional international.
  • Compensation: $80K $90K base plus bonus eligibility (flexible based on experience).
