Who we are looking for:
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Sales Manager to lead our sales team at our auto auction. The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of sales operations, including developing sales plans, managing dealer relationships, and achieving sales targets.
What you will do:
Actively and consistently support all efforts to simplify and enhance the customer experience.
Develop and implement monthly/weekly sales plans to meet online and in-lane sales budgets
Manage the sales team and ensure all team members are meeting sales goals
Utilize customer relationship management tools to track and monitor sales activities
Establish criteria for dealer sales lanes and assign numbers to consignors
Build and maintain relationships with local and national consignors
Monitor sales trends and inventory management system
Improve customer experience at auction and online to drive growth
Collaborate with operations team to refine operational processes
Promote and sell vehicles to potential buyers through auction platform
Conduct effective sales presentations and showcase vehicle features
Assist buyers in evaluating vehicle options and provide accurate information
Prospect and identify new leads through various methods
Meet and exceed sales targets and maintain accurate sales records
Attend industry events and trade shows to expand network
Keep up to date on market trends and competitor activities to inform sales strategies
Other duties as assigned.
What you will need:
High School Diploma/GED with experience in the automobile auction industry
2-5 years of supervisory experience required
Ability to read, write, speak and understand English.
Previous experience in the car auction industry or related role preferred.
Demonstrated organizational and multitasking skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
Familiarity with auction procedures, terminology, and documentation.
Proficient in Microsoft office and other auction sales-related software programs
Flexibility in schedule and the availability to travel for work related task, conference, extended education and networking.
Ability to work well under pressure and in a fast-paced environment
Proven communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact professionally with auctioneers, buyers, sellers, and other staff members.
Attention to detail and ability to accurately verify and record vehicle information.
Familiarity with auction procedures, terminology, and documentation.
High School Diploma/GED with experience in the automobile auction industry
2-5 years of supervisory experience required
Strong communication and management skills
Valid drivers license with a clean driving record.
The ability to read, write and understand English. Bilingual a plus.

This position is eligible for additional compensation pursuant to ACV's incentive compensation plan.
