We, at Leggett & Platt Incorporated, are searching for a Sales Manager within our Sales team to help support our Automotive business. Did you know we are the world's leading designer and manufacturer of seating support and comfort systems for transportation manufacturers, as well as tier one and two suppliers within the automotive industry? That's right! Our automotive products fall into four primary groups: Seating and Lumbar support, Motors, Actuators and Massage Systems. If you join our team, your work will ensure people across the world have a little more comfort in their lives.

As a Sales Manager you will have the opportunity to service key advanced sales accounts to maintain and increase future sales, ensure customer satisfaction and contribute to the overall effectiveness and profitibility of L&P automotive branches.

Job Responsibilities:

  1. Manages the company''s or product line''s sales activities, including advanced sales activity. Negotiates program contracts for award.

  2. Calls on key accounts to establish & cultivate relationships, identify opportunities and increase sales.

  3. Represents products/services requiring technical product knowledge/performance features to specific accounts.

  4. Participates in quote reviews, identify areas that need improvement for quote presentation to customer.

  5. Report feedback from customer regarding product quality, customer service, overall performance and reasons for won/lost opportunities.

  6. Responsible for content in all sales reporting - SPA, Sales Headlines, 3-month updates, Sales Plan, NBO''s & NBA''s for specific customers/accounts.

  7. Reports on and keeps informed on any and all competitive activities

  8. Supports any/all MBR and Leadership related activities as required by the Sales Director.

Key Requirements:

  1. 5+ years relative experience, automotive/lean manufacturing preferred

  2. -Strong technical knowledge of product & manufacturing systems

  3. Excellent negotiation skills

  4. Excellent written & verbal communication skills

  5. Knowledge of Outlook, Powerpoint, Excel, Word
