FORVIA is looking for a year-round Sales Intern for its headquarters in Auburn Hills, Michigan.
Your mission, roles and responsibilities

At FORVIA Seating, we give early career talent real responsibility, customer exposure, and a clear path to a full-time role. As part of our Sales and Program Management team, you will be integrated into our EV market activities, working directly with EV brands to understand each customer's expectations and way of working.
Based at our R&D Center in Auburn Hills, MI, the Program & Sales Engineer Intern supports the Sales & Serial Manager across Program, Serial Life, Development, and Acquisition topics. This internship offers driven individuals' hands on learning, broad exposure to commercial and program activities, and opportunities to participate in key customer interactions, including face to face events and cross functional reviews.
The main missions of the role are:
Gain exposure to cross‑functional teams, business challenges, senior leaders, and customers
Support sales activities
Work with commercial and program teams to understand customer expectations and processes.
Contribute to propose and get validated the targeted pricing and the negotiation path / tactics to convince the customer
Help Preparing and negotiating the commercial answers to the customer ECRs ("Engineering Changes Requests")
Detailed understanding of piece price, tooling and D&D impact
Understanding and commercial management of local economics (inflation, exchange rate)
Understanding and rigorous implementation of the Sales Administration guidelines & processes (purchase orders, invoices, terms of payment, overdues…)
Commercial management for Spare Parts
Serial program activities
Review customer change requests and understand cost, tooling, and development impacts.
Contribute to cost‑saving ideas and continuous‑improvement projects.
Learn how economic factors influence commercial outcomes.
Support sales administration (POs, invoices, overdue tracking) and spare‑parts pricing.
Coordinate prototype builds, order materials, track timing and deliveries.
Learn internal cost structures, support quote preparation, and assist with profitability reviews and related documentation.
