Basic Job Functions:
The Sales Estimator's primary responsibility is to maximize the long-term success of Nucor by efficiently performing accurate joist & deck takeoffs to create high-quality sales proposals, while also effectively communicating with engineers, customers, and teammates to develop value-added solutions. This position requires a high level of collaboration with the sales team and taking ownership of day-to-day tasks to ensure all estimates are completed in a timely manner. The work location for this role can be in Chemung, NY, King of Prussia, PA or in Salem, NH.

Minimum Qualifications:
- Basic construction experience is required (field, estimating, detailing, or related industry experience).
- Willingness to work extended hours beyond a standard 40 hour workweek when workload and deadlines require.
- AI competency is required, including the ability to learn, adopt, and leverage AI tools to support team growth and continuous improvement.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Working knowledge of Microsoft software, such as Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, Word,
- Working knowledge of SAP
- Working knowledge of detailing or estimating software.
- Two years of experience in the steel and/or construction industry or a two degree in business, sales, marketing, construction management, engineering, or related field
- Mobility for future advancement opportunities within Nucor
- Experience reading structural drawings and project specifications, as well as a general understanding of the construction process
