    Description

    Overview:
    Element is seeking a Sales Engineer to serve as the technical connection between our laboratory operations and commercial teams. In this role, you will analyze customer testing requirements, develop technical solutions, create testing plans, and build competitive proposals that help drive business growth. The position combines engineering expertise, customer-focused problem solving, and commercial decision-making.

    Responsibilities:

    • Review customer RFQs and technical requirements
    • Assess testing feasibility and define project scope
    • Develop test plans, schedules, and pricing proposals
    • Estimate labor, equipment, and facility requirements
    • Partner with operations teams to ensure successful project execution
    • Collaborate with Business Development Managers to support customer opportunities
    • Help drive revenue growth through accurate technical solutions and proposal development
    Skills / Qualifications:
    • 5+ years of experience in a testing laboratory environment
    • Experience in one or more of the following areas:
      • Environmental Testing
      • Dynamics Testing (Shock & Vibration)
      • EMI/EMC Testing
    • Strong understanding of engineering test methods and laboratory operations
    • Ability to interpret technical requirements and translate them into executable test programs
    • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
    • Customer-facing or proposal development experience preferred

    Preferred:

     

    Candidates with experience supporting testing programs to standards such as:

    • MIL-STD-810
    • MIL-STD-461
    • RTCA DO-160
