ROLE & RESPONSIBILITIES
We are seeking a Sales Engineer for an industrial gas systems equipment manufacturer, which would be a great opportunity for someone with experience in technical sales engineering and equipment sizing looking to further their career in energy infrastructure and industrial solutions.
- Serve as technical liaison between customers and internal teams, translating application requirements into accurate, profitable equipment solutions
- Perform equipment sizing calculations, cost analysis, and prepare technically grounded proposals and quotations within established guidelines
- Support marketing efforts by attending trade shows and industry events (approximately 5% travel) to expand market presence and identify new business opportunities
- Collaborate with the Gas Systems team and engineering to align customer requirements with available solutions and production capacity
- Handle technical inquiries, troubleshoot applications, and document customer specifications including P&IDs
ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelors degree in Mechanical, Chemical, or related engineering discipline
- 5+ years of technical engineering or application sales experience; propane, natural gas, or industrial equipment background preferred
- Proficiency with equipment sizing calculations, P&ID interpretation, and proposal development; strong written and verbal communication skills
BONUS QUALIFICATIONS
- Experience with ERP systems or quoting software
- Background in heat exchangers, thermodynamic calculations, or fluid flow applications
